Answer:
If the mount on the forks that the calliper will attach to is also IS (51mm eye to eye); then an 'IS to IS' for the corresponding rotor size (180mm) is required.

Answer:
Shimano and Avid brakes use a different mounting technique and for running a new set of XT brakes; new mounts will be required (in relation to rotor size).

The applicable mounts can be found here - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/...

If you require more assistance towards which mount required; please drop an email to the Technical Department below -

CPS 20 IS Bracket

Looking to upgrade my front rotor from 160mm to 180mm for use with my BB7s. Currently using an Avid CPS 0 IS Bracket, but will need a CPS 20 IS bracket for the larger rotor.

Avid CPS 20 IS brackets are out of stock pretty much everywhere. Are there other options from other manufacturers that will work?

Answer:
For the best fit you should aim for an Avid CPS 20mm IS adaptor, but you could use a standard Post to IS +20mm adaptor if you prefer. You may need to experiment with the washers to acheive the proper alignment.

Answer:
There is only one mount available at this time which allows you to fit a IS caliper to a post mount fork. The mount you require is linked below.

With this mount however you will be restricted to running a 180mm rotor only.

The Avid HSX rotors are recommended for this brake, but you should also be able to use 140,160 or 180mm rotors from Hope such as the M4 or X2 Lightweight rotors.
