Rated 1 out of 5 by Flimsy rubbish I got this (from another dealer) a few weeks ago. Used about 5 times to 120PSI and the connector head has completely split. Its just flimsy rubbish! 05 June 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GOOD PUMP i have a bike for every occasion and only needed a track pump for a racer type bike i recently got, now i use it on every bike ! The dual head sometimes puts some people off thinking is just another thing to go faulty ( it doesnt ) i,ve used im lot over a year on both types of valve. the gauge is clear to read and is pretty accurate to. No problems reaching 110 psi (presta) for road bike, 35 psi (schreder)for XC bike and 25 psi (schreder)for tubless DH bike. ( if you follow tubless fitting instructions, getting tubless tyres to seal is a breeze, easy as 3 quick pumps to seal ). TIPS : Wet tyre bead with slight amount of water , Add the correct amount of sealant, SUSPEND THE WHEEL/TYRE off the ground some how, Always have the valve at 12 o,clock position then afew quick pumps will seal. Spin the wheel about 5 mph also tipping the wheel horzisontally each side so sealant works around the whole tyre / bead, then fully inflate to desired pressure , JOB DONE 14 November 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible I've been using track pumps for ~ 20yrs and this is by far the worst of them. I see it gets reasonably good reviews on here but mine is awful. I bought it to replace a Joe Blow Turbo that I managed to leave in France. If I'd known how bad this was going to be I'd have considered driving back for the old one! The action feels as though someone put a handful of sand in the barrel and the head is almost useless. Even with it "locked on", air leaks out once past ~ 50psi and if I want more than 80psi in the tyres (which you do, on a road bike) then I have to hold the head on with one hand and pump with the other! Avoid like the plague. 16 October 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good solid pump I bought this to repose a cheap track pump that had lasted a few years before it exploded. I found this in my lbs for a few coins more than it is for sale here so I brought it home. It's got. Great solid feel but the base could do with being a bit bigger for stability and on the first occasion of use the little tool drawers hidden in the handle broke off. Bad, but a bit of superglue sorted that issue. I'd recommend this but I'm not too sure how accurate the gauge is. Like the other reviewers mention, the engagement is sometimes fickle due to the dual head. Nothing too irritating though as it soon engages and let's pumping commence. 28 May 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by No good for tubeless This is a good quality product and fine for inflating tubes. However, it's useless for initially sealing tyres to rims in a tubeless set up. The valve which stops air from flowing out of the unused (schrader) connector relies on a back pressure to work and this isn't present until the tyre has been mounted properly. 09 April 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Flimsy rubbish Shocked to see so many good reviews for such a bad product. The pump is flimsy in use and after 6 months the dual head is useless and leaks all the time. I gaot this pump from Blackburn as my TPs-5 had failed, and this was their "like for like" replacement. It is nowhere near the qulaity or sturdiness of my previous pump. I have tried contacting them to discuss the issues with this pump but get no reply. It is the last Blackburn product I will ever buy. 30 March 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bargain! This is a nice sturdy bit of kit, with a steel shaft, barrel and base. Nice long hose that reaches when bike is in my workshop stand. Easily got up to 100psi. Only downside......they'd run out of the red and blue ones when I ordered, Bah! 21 April 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Floor Pump This is a replacement floor pump for my Dad's hand-me-down 1950's pump. After reading the reviews this one got my vote and I purchased it. Comments about the dual head not going from presta to schreader are correct, but I have found that if I either put my finger over the outlet that you want to provide a bit of pressure you can get it to change over. You need some form of back pressure on the selected opening (mouth works as well if the tube or tire is flat). I have had trouble getting the ball needle out of the handle as it is in tight. I found the other attachment included helps to lever it out otherwise pliers also helps. So far have had no problems getting tires up to pressure of 100psi for roadie. Would highly recommend this to everyone. 09 April 2010
