This fits easily and can be adjusted on the bike so you can rotate it adjust the tension it applies to the chain.
Unlike a roller set-up you need to be weary of having it rotated too far round so it lifts the chain too much. I only rode 8 miles today of mixed AM/DH on m,y Meta SX and it has already gouged the guide such that it now runs noisily even at low tension.
I'm not saying it's no good, it works fine, but some advice on set-up in the instructions would have been a helpful balance to their claims of zero noise, zero wear etc. Especially as I think it comes down to the fact that my 2x 10 set up with a 36 \sram rear cassette has such a large difference in cog sizes that usin g the larger cog sizes caused too much tension and hence the rapid wear.
Just don't drink the marketing kool aid and you'll be fine- learn by my error...
Given that it has two bolts I think they could make this to take a roller on the front bolt if people wanted the option. A friend has a rapid prototype machine so I might knock something up as a test.
So don't forget, great piece of kit just don't over rotate it too far clockwise if using a big old rear cassette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Avalon Solid and pretty easy to fit
It's a tough looking bit of kit, and reasonably light for what it does.
I have a Commencal Meta AM and fitting this was trial and error. I bought the ISCG 05 version, but the offset from the mount to the front chainring must be a variable. It comes with 9 washers, three each of three different sizes, So I had to put 2, see how I fitted... Discovered I'd need 4 washers on each bolt.
The chai guide is slippery plastic, there is no sprocket, good, as then it won't get jammed up with mud/grit.
So getting it on was kinda messy, but it only took about 20 minutes.
The box has the warranty conditions on it, they're a bit of a laugh, as they basically using the product will invalidate the warranty!

Easy to install, just follow the Blackspire installation manual and do it all by eye. Comes with plenty of washers to space it correctly. I don't notice any drag on my pedals whatsoever, although I am reasonably fit. Have had no chain derails since I've brought it (mainly XC use so far) and slaps are kept to a silent on all but the bigger shocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous This is a good piece of kit
I have used the stinger for years on a couple of different bikes, but this upgrade is the best investment I have made in evades to dual ring chain guides. Very quiet, well made. And made in Canada apparently. How can they charge less then the Taiwanese and Chinese made stuff? I would recommend this to anyone looking for a dual ring guide.

and does it silently. Good days ride in mud had no adverse effects. Haven't "bashed" it hard yet, but looks sturdy enough... recommended piece of kit!
