Lightweight and Breathable Protection

Breathable and lightweight, this ARG Comp LD Top consists of spine, shoulder, chest, elbow, and coccyx Armourgel® pads, which give you optimal protective coverage for occasions when the trail bites back. Upon impact, the pads will stiffen to protect your body. When protection is not required, the ergonomic ARG padding flexes with the muscles, providing unrestricted movement.

A close fitting baselayer and asymmetric zipper provide temperature regulation and comfort. The flatlock stitching prevents hot spots and chaffing on the skin whilst elasticated cuffs prevent the sleeves riding up.

Technology

• Armourgel® (ARG): A flexible material that can be incorporated directly into the garment to protect against impacts and abrasions. Comprising of materials which stiffen upon impact to provide protection, but flex with the musculature of the body when protection is not required. Unlike PU or EPS foams, it can be subjected to multiple impacts onto the same point without being destroyed. ARG absorbs and dissipates energy, greatly reducing impact forces transmitted to the body. The special structure allows the material to absorb 80% of the impact energy and its open re-entrant structure allowing natural ventilation and airflow around the body.
