You have to take the wheel off and leave the caliper on the bike when you swap these in, they are thick so you will need to compress the calipers fully then put the pads in, Then you need to gently use a tool to spread them apart even more, takes a few try`s but they will eventually stay apart long enough to get the wheel back on.
Do not remove the caliper you need the leverage of the bike to spread them apart or you won`t get them on...
Good deal for the money, they did great for me in the steep North Shore trails and surrounding mountains.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Way too much material.
When these pads arrived I saw them in the box and thought they had a lot of braking material on them. Once I had fitted them there was so much material there was only a 1/2mm gap between the pads. To get the rotors to fit I had to file off nearly 1/2 of the material of each pad. I will have to see how much stopping power and feel the pads have when I next go out.
Buy the Avid or Aztec pads, they fit perfectly and have plenty of power.
