brake adaptor?

I currently have a Sram DB5 calliper mounted directly to the post frame mount on a Ragley Big Wig. This works for the 160mm rotor, what I need is an adaptor to allow me to run a 180mm rotor instead.
Any idea which one I need?

Answer:
The connectors required are part of KIT104 which can be purchased as connectors only (and hose separately) or as a hose kit. Both options are sold 'per brake' so for front and rear you would need two kits.

Note that Goodridge hose is essential for use with the Goodridge connectors.

Answer:
For best performance, you should always try to match the rotors and caliper with the same brand. Most rotors are made to a set width though, so there are a range of aftermarket options available and most should be cross compatible. Floating rotors can be an issue as sometimes the rivet points can foul calipers on cross-brand setups, so if using a Floating rotor I would always look for a matching brand to the caliper and mount adaptor where possible.

Hi - I want to replace my Avid Exilir 3 disc brakes (2 x 180mm discs) with Shimano XT M785 (180mm front, 160mm rear) on my Canyon Nerve Al 2014 which has post-mounts on the forks and rear stay. Do I need to purchase adapters for the front and/or rear?
Thanks,
Mike

Answer:
The Avid calipers you are replacing run the same Post Mount caliper sizing as the M785, so you should be able to re-use your existing front adaptor if you wish. The rear Shimano caliper should mount directly to the frame to run a 160mm rotor, but you will need to double check with your local Canyon dealer to be certain (your photo looks like it could be a direct 180mm rear post mount, which means you will have to maintain a 180mm disc on the rear).
