I bought this back in July 2009. I am buying the same saddle again as it is so so so comfortable. I am building a geared bike and need another seat. I ride approx 25 miles a day and have completed John O'Groats to Lands End on this seat. It is so amazing that I needed convincing that I needed padded shorts for the big trip! I did all my training with out padded shorts this included 4 days of 120 miles per day! I a still not convinced I needed padded shorts ;) Maybe I should cycle the distance again without padded shorts?
I can only recommend buying this on the experience I have had to date.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Will never buy another saddle
Had mine on for 2 years now. It's been shaped to fit me for most of that time. I will never buy any other saddle brand again. I now have two bikes, both hardtails, both with a Brooks on. If you're having problems with different saddles - buy a Brooks: problems solved.

Just want to add something re: my post about the Brooks. An essential part of making this saddle work is...setting it up correctly. Saddle height, tilt and fore & aft[KOPS-check this out].
Each individual is an individual and as such, have individual requirements for setting up a Brooks. It's not a standard of just stick it on and off ya go....a bit of fussing is needed....have patience, dial the saddle in and then FINE-tune[you may or may not need to do this, depending a bit on luck].
If you follow/take the above advice, you won't look back...when ya get there, you'll know... it's well worth all the bother.

For me and many like me, No saddle, ever I owned, that ''fits'' correctly and is broken in can or does come up to the same standard of 'fit' or comfort as does the Brooks...ever.
No more needs be said than that.
Good luck to all you guys[do your homework and...have patience!]

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Definitely worth it
There a loads of reviews all over the web for Brooks saddles - all mostly positive. I've always suffered soreness, pain, rashes etc and in recent years has affected my riding - to the point of not bothering anymore. After a quick training road ride over the moors in NW England - just 31 miles, I was so put off by my saddle sore that when I got home, I nearly thought about spending a hundred quid on some Selle Italia all singing doobry. Then started reading about Brooks, took the plunge, bought a B17 steel, used the Proofide, then went straight out and did the same distance. I have a cured a**e now! no soreness, just light throbbing instead (expected with the break in period) which allowed me to focus on the ride for a change.
Erm, this is simple, if you have this problem, at this price it's most definitely worth a try. Everyone's different but I suspect this will at least help. You just gotta get passed the retro looks - whose gonna see it anyway when you're perched on it?? Personally, I think it looks cool against the modern. May get one for my MTB as well. Hope this review helps you :-)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous J'utilise cette selle depuis 20 ans, en changeant de vélo j'ai voulu essayer la selle Italienne haut de game fournie(ARAMI)mais je suis vite revenu à ma vieille Brooks qui offre un confort incomparable.
