Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Quality but not quite perfect At this price I was hoping for perfect!! However, as some others have pointed out the leather surface is very slippery. The result is that you have to set the seat angle exactly or you will either be sliding off the front or the back. This then puts a lot of tension into your body just trying to stay on the seat, which kind of defeats the purpose. I was a bit worried that this seat would be sprung too stiffly as it is suitable for quite heavy riders (i am 72 kg), however I have found the spring suspension excellent. However the hardness and slipperiness of the leather does detract from the whole experience. I am hoping that over time the leather will get some grip as i do feel that i still need to concentrate on staying centred on the seat for fear of sliding off or at least tensing up in an effort to stay on. I do wonder if my wife's heavily padded RAVX seat would have been a better (and cheaper) way to go. One final tip - I found the chrome seat post clamp nut a bit grabby on the thread and had difficulty getting good grip on the seat post. I was concerned about stripping the thread while trying to get enough clamping force on the seat post. A spray of WD40 on the thread seems to have solved this. 17 April 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by I've tried over 50 different saddles desperately trying to alleviate saddle discomfort and to find a way to make bicycling fun again. With everyone buying into the superman race bike image (hello, you've just been sleazed by the marketing machine), I decided to build a stout steel-frame bike with fat tires for ride comfort on my daily commute, training and all purpose ride. I wanted to put comfort back into riding so that it wasn't such a chore. The B190 is by far the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned. Nothing comes close to a double sprung saddle - nothing. Spend the money and get an upright hybrid or town bike. If you can't spend the cash, then get a stem extension and raise your bars above the height of your saddle. Try the Brooks B190 and you won't even feel like you're on a bike. Since I bought this saddle 6 months ago, I've gone from couch potato to daily recreational rider. My posture is improved and I no longer have saddle soreness or lower back fatigue. You deserve to treat your body with some respect. Get the B190, you won't be disappointed. 18 April 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exterme Comfort Fitted this Saddle to my Schwinn Deluxe 7 Cruiser that I use both on and off road. You don't need a a**e the size of Gibralter to enjoy the comfort of this generous sized bicycle seat. The dual acting springs relieve any unwelcome stresses. Think of it more as a throne than a saddle. Cheers. 20 January 2009
