The Team Professional is a timeless Brooks Classic Saddle for sports riders. A lot of craftsmanship is needed for this model to hammer the big copper rivets and chamfer the leather on the sides with a special knife. The ladies version is called the Team Professional S. The ladies model with titanium rails is called the Finesse!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Top quality comfort
Bought the team pro in 2001 and the ti swift in 2006. Love them both but if I had to chose its the team every time. 200 grams is nothing for the extra comfort. Team pro on my old Klein Quantum and the ti swift on the Fondriest Spur? I agree with other users that buying the cover is a good idea for protection from the rain. I am considering replacing my San Marco Rolls on my old 653 Reynolds with a B17 vintage. Got the honey in both but the proof hide turns them brown after a while. Great saddles.

Bought this saddle adequately to pass Paris Brust Paris - 1500 km. The saddle proved to be perfectly, during race rubbed nothing.
Minuses - is afraid some water, inflates.

My new Brooks saddle is yet to break-in, as I rode just about 60km on it. 50 of those were in a single city ride, without cycling shorts, and it performed exactly like my old WTB Pure-V Sport, which the Brooks replaced: Pretty comfortable at first, a bit too stiff after about 40km of riding.
The point is, I hope it will break-in and become more comfortable than the other saddle I had, but there is nothing to fear until the leather molds to you.

Set the saddle up on the bike, took it for a good 75km spin, and I am super impressed by the comfort of the saddle.
You're aware it hard, but thankfully there is absolutely no pain & no numbness. I got off the bike when I got home if felt like I had only been on the saddle for 5 minutes. Hopefully no break-in required.
All in all, can’t rate this saddle high enough.

I've had this saddle (with titanium rails) for about a year. Most comfortable saddle I have ever had. While it feels hard it was extremely comfortable from the start. Didn't have any of the 'breaking in' issues I've seen elsewhere. It has only improved since. I have issues with my tail bone which hurts on nearly every other saddle but this one fits like a glove. I actually came back to this site as I intend to buy another Brooks for my road bike. They are not cheap but certainly worth the expense. And they look good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Goodbye Fizik Gobi, hello darling!
Goodbye Fizik Gobi. For you were light, and you were red, my bum on you half dead!
It was a choice between the Professional and the Swift. The difference is subtle but the professional is just a wee bit wider and the rivets are bigger. The swift "looks" more sleek but I decided to make a decision based more on comfort. The Pro is for my Litespeed MTB that is set-up for road cycling only. I do 50km runs at 35-40kmh. Interestingly the saddle is more comfy the harder you push through the pedals. "yes but did you have to break it in??". Not really. It was a pleasant change to my Ti railed sleek n sexy lookin Fizik out of the box. Unlike the Italian made, Brooks do weather in and become more comfortable with hours in the saddle. I like many are converted. If you ever intend to fit a Brooks retro-classic tool bag then get the Swift. The pro doesnt have the hoops built into the metalwork. One thing of interest for those in the market and wondering why some chrome framed saddles are much more spenny than others - the reason is the prime cut of leather from the hide goes to the Swallow. The lower grade cuts (though still v. Nice) go to the B-17's. Or so the dealer did explain me. Hope this has been of help in yr research!
