I have tried a range of non disposable water bottles between 2008-14, including Camelbak Podium and 3 x Eddy however the current Eddy models (after a short break in use cycle) leak when inverted in a pack.
The Performance bottle has the screw shut/open lid and it is reliable and durable so I am going to stick with this for a long time - no more leaks to threaten goods or electronics in your day pack / daily work pack !

Rated 3 out of 5 by lbalc Bottle for using at home
I have two of these , and it's a good drinking bottle for keeping at home. Cycling, the bottle finds its way to leak, if the lid is left in the drinking position, liquid will literally spray out all over your legs, good if you want cool legs in summer! The biggest pain about taking this bottle anywhere is the drinking nozzle can come off, and then it's a useless bottle to drink from.

If you don't lose the bite valve this is a great bottle and it wouldn't stop me buying it again. I have a cage with a flexible opening (Cube) and it fits fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by twoniner Bite valves too easy to loose.
Not a bad bottle for on the bike, handy to be able to drink without tilting your head back but the bite valves come off to easy. Lost both valves of both bottles and they are pretty expensive to replace.

Not a bad bottle, handy being able to drink without tilting your head back while riding, and the bottle is squeezy.
Only downside is the teat can come away easily, we have already lost one and they aint cheap to replace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous I think the bottle is great.
Its great that you don't have to tilt your head while cycling and I hate in the ordinary bottles if you were taking a big gulp the valve would close pinching my lip... Also a slight squeeze on the bottle gives an excellent flow.
The only negatives is that it doesn't fit in standard bottle cage (replaced elites with cheap adjustable ones) and they are pricey. Other than that I like it...

How to reinvent the bottle and make it worse.. Leaky, difficult to clean and hence goes mouldy.
Get yourself a standard anti-bacterial drinks bottle like the Hygene Elite. Rinse after each use and store in the freazer.. NO MORE MOULD! AMAZING!!
