Have no fear of going too fast. Safe stopping is assured by the new Centaur™ brakes with forged arms and characterised by the new black anodising. In order to achieve even greater efficiency, the brakes are equipped with the possibility of orbital brake-pad adjustment, which up till now was a feature of only the high end of the range. The braking torque is optimal even with new pads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Very impressed
Switching from a Shimano 105 brakeset to a SRAM Force brakeset, made a world of difference!! Switching from SRAM Force to these, was hardly noticeable... Stabile, responsive and strong. Very good control with the impressing amount af breaking power. I did not know what to expect, but at this price, I consider theese to be a great value for money brakeset. Be aware that the release mechanism is built into the STI and therefore these should be mated to Campag STI's only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous As an upgrade
I replaced my dual pivot tekro brakes for these as an upgrade. In the weight department, these were only 20g lighter. Aesthetically, they are better looking but I only noticed a marginal increase in performance. I think a softer brake compound with a longer pad would have achieved better results. They do not have the quick release lever that Shimano has (Campy ones apparently built into the levers) but this does not pose a problem as the cable is easily adjusted to accommodate the wheel. They take all of five minutes to replace and add a little Italian bling.
