I play rugby and weigh 94KG. So not you budding Tour de France racer! I do however train hard and have been upgrading my entry level road bike. I was recommended these Zondas for the heavier rider. I cant fault them. I have had them on my ally frame for over 6 months now. I haven't had a single problem with them. done well over a 1,000 miles. I noticed an increased speed of over 1mph on average. One very happy customer.
Chain reactions were helpful as always and high level of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous After building my own wheels for over 20 years, the Zonda 2 way fits are the first factory built wheels I've owned. The Mega G3 hub improvement on the 2013 gives effortless acceleration. The ride quality of the tubeless Zondas running Maxxis Padrones with 30 ml Caffe Latex is almost as good as the road feel riding racing sew-ups. I have relegated the previous wheels which I built, (Record hubs, DT 14/17 spokes, 28/2 front 32/3 rear, DT clincher rims, Conti GP4000S, Conti race lite tubes) to the save-for-vacation-riding-on-unknown-quality-roads role. The strapped box shipped by Campy is supposed to include 2 Campy wheel bags and a spoke anti-rotation tool for truing. My box from CRC had been opened, retaped and the bags were missing. CRC customer service sent me 2 Campy wheel bags after I complained, but be aware.

I have been building my own wheels (both sew-up tubulars & clinchers) from components since 1989. This is the first time I've bought or ridden a pre-built wheelset. The reason for the switch was age (59+) and wear & tear on the body. The tubeless tyre set-up gives a much smoother ride with less harsh vibration from rough roads (hip sockets & lower spine no longer in pain), a reduction in rolling resistance with elimination of internal friction between inner tube and clincher, and no more pinch flats or valve stem failures. The G3 spoking creates much less turbulent aerodynamic drag than a 32 spoke wheel. Maxxis Padrone tubeless tyres, injected with 30 ml Caffe Latex are recommended by Campy USA, rather than Hutchinsons, and buy the 2013 Zondas with the MEGA G3 rear hub rather than small flange 2012 Zondas.
