Castelli Diluvio Shoe Cover 16cm W-Zip

The Diluvio 16 shoecover is an extra tall version of the classic and much loved standard Diluvio with a 16 cm cuff and a fully waterproof zipper. The 3mm Neoprene fabric will stand up to the wettest and coldest winter riding conditions. All seams are thermosealed for complete water protection, with cleat and heel areas open for stability while walking. The stretchy material easily pulls over your shoes while a waterproof zip closure aids entry yet prevents water from running down your leg into the shoecover.

  • Neoprene insulation to keep you warm
  • Minimal bulk.
  • 16cm waterproof zipper
  • Reflective detailing on back:
  • Warm and comfortable.
  • Extra protection-there so cozy you'llalmost hope for rain.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Warn, fit great, look very well but eventually succumb to rain These are a great fit with the stretchy neoprene so they are very snug on the shoes. Easy to put on and take off and the high ankle is very much appreciated in the cold winter days. The sizing can be tricky where I have a Shimano European 46 so I went for the XXL which in hindsight was a good choice and fit. I've worn them in approx 1 degree Celsius and the feet were very snug. Also I've deployed them in light rain and they have performed very well. However in heavy rain, some wetness did get through but I accept that this is acceptable given the conditions. Finally they look great! 25 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good quailty- still get wet feet in a deluge I've read various magazine reviews and these always get top scores, they were full price on CRC but thought some times you just have to pay for quality. The neoprene is very stretcy and easy to fit and the 3/4 zip and protection on the bootie are excellent. I've had plenty of mild wet days in these and they do keep your feet dry and warm. Once it start getting heavy or there is a lot of spray of the floor trust me your still going to get wet feet (this is inevitable no matter what you wear#, I wear seal skin water proof socks and there still wet in serious rain. I'm a UK 11 and went for the XL which I'd recommend to anyone 10 and up. To sum it up and glad I spent the xtra over the enduro's #my last pair the zip broke after 12 months). The scorpian always looks mean as well 09 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for the cold and dry Nice durable material, slips over my shoes nicely. The zips are a bit fiddly to do up. Snug fit though (sizes come up a bit small - go a size bigger than you normally would!). The overshoes are great for dry cold rides and can cope with a light shower, but in heavy rain or a longer downpour, they get wet and stay wet! 07 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Neoprene strikes again! I have had a pair of Castelli Diluvio gloves for 4 years, and due to them being great in cold and wet weather I decided to buy the Diluvio overshoes and give them a try. I have used different overshoes from different brands over the years but have never found a pair that really did the trick of protecting against cold and rain. You could say I was on a mission to find the overshoes that are worth the effort...and I have to say 'mission accomplished'! I do need to take care when putting on and taking off the overshoes as the velcro straps on my shoes tend to stick to the neoprene on the inside, but they fit perfectly due to their stretchability, like a second skin. Their ability to protect against cold and wet is second to none! I am thinking of throwing away all my other rain and cold overshoes, and invest in a second pair of Diluvio overshoes as a back-up pair! 19 November 2013

Answer:
As size UK 8 correlates to EU 42 the L/XL would be ideal.

The sizing parameters are as follows:

S/M = 35-39
L/XL = 40 - 43
XXL = 44 - 47
Attitude: On the up

Answer:
I would be confident that these are not suitable. I would recommend a set of MT500 overshoes.
