Cateye Strada Slimline Head Unit and Sensor

This smaller package still boasts the same great cycling features and functionality of the Strada Wireless; along with a larger screen and the ability to customise your display by showing only the functions you have selected.

A new era of compact cyclo-computers: Newly designed circuitry and increased efficiency allows for a smaller battery, so the Strada Slimline cyclo-computer and sensor can be thinner and lighter.

The head unit has a 23% bigger screen, yet is 35% thinner and lighter. The Strada Slimline is not only the sleekest, most aerodynamic cyclo-computer in over 30 years of Cateye innovation, it is also the most efficient; using smaller batteries it consumes up to 75% less energy. The tiny speed sensor is 47% thinner and fits seamlessly inside the fork stay. For those that appreciate great lines and sleek looks on their bike, the Strada Slimline ticks all the boxes.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by it's out of battery so haven't use yet received but it's out of battery. everything is gd, took quite a long time for shipping to perth 08 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfecto¡¡¡ Pequeño, ligero, facil de montar y configurar (en menos de 5 minutos ya está listo...) se ve perfectamente con su gran pantalla en relación a su tamaño. 10 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great kit got my cube carbon from CRC 3 weeks ago and decided to add a computer, have always used cateye but wasn't sure which to buy, went for this over the strada due to the new sensor which fits in behind the fork, fitted the whole unit in less than 5 minutes, works great 23 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy fit why pay more - the sensor uses a rubber band to fit tight against the fork - this is the easisest way to fit one on a modern carbon road bike with aero type forks. Also tried the velo wirelesss which would also fit on the forks and £18cheaper - this is also excellent, its just that you can the sensor on the velo and you dont on the strada. If you want to save some money go for the velo, both computers will do the things most people want and neither are bulky 11 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by 23 March 2014

Answer:
they fit with rubber bands - so you get these and a small mounting bracket for the computer (which also fits with rubber bands). Easy to fit without tools. There are batteries in both parts

Answer:
it just lets you know if your current pace is below or above your average pace. Not something I looked for but actually do find I keep an eye on it

Answer:
Yes this Strada Slim is a wireless unit (see http://www.cateye.com/en/products/d... for more detail).

It does not have a calorie count as far as I know; the Mode button cycles though TM (Elapsed Time) DST (Trip Distance) DST2 (Trip Distance 2) AV (Average Speed) MX (Maximum Speed) ODO (Total Distance) and Clock.

Answer:
Unfortunately would only show the speed in the top and one mode selection, you would be unable to have 2 Modes displayed without manual switching.
You could consult the manual (http://202.215.251.86/images/manual...) or Cayeye directly (http://www.cateye.com/en/support/ag...) to confirm or deny this.
