Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 60 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by The brakes are great These brakes for the price are superb they came as stock parts on my carrera Vulcan They comes with self adjusting magnets so they adjust as you use the brakes. but I had one problem with the rear brake where it appeared to be that the magnet had twisted due to poor set up. 22 August 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor I order a left hand 185mm rear. When it arrived I opened the box it said on the outside l/h 185 rear BUT when I opened the box much to mine and crc's surprise there's a 203mm front brake in there. As they were out of stock I figured I'd keep it and throw it on my dj bike. Well I'm kinda glad I did, it was easy to install considering the rotor isn't straight. I carefully bedded it in properly expecting quite a good brake with a 203! But it's not the bite adjust does nothing, it's seriously lacking in power I expect from a hydro brake even my cable bb7 and thats with a 203 rotor!! I've run avid elixir, Hayes nines, hope m4 oh and a bb7 and all are far more powerful, the bb7 I run on the back of the same bike I put this on has a better feel on the lever as well. so for the money it's a cheap nice looking brake and it'll slow you but at this price I can't help but feel the extra 20 to get a bb7 is money better spent for a far superior brake without the hassle of bleeding 07 July 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good Had these brakes 7 months now and im pretty happy with them. Running them on my jump bike with no front brake and they do the job.The extra set of pads is a good extra. I have only had two problems in that the bite adjuster screw has rounded off (probably my fault)and it doesnt make much of a difference anyway. And the second problem is a rattling lever ! Drives me mad, it can be tightened up but then the lever wont pop back out when released. Overall a good first hydraulic brake but i do wish I had bought shimano m785's 28 June 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by MMMMM Not overwhelmed with these brakes.Have them on my Kraken. They do have good stopping power but do a lot of squeling when pressure applied to brake. Not sure if its the pads or the disc that causes this.furthermore the front disc has warped. Not sure again if they can take the pressure of red trails. 13 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product support My experience with Clarks has been excellent - especially the technical department. Having overhauled my 6 piston Tokico callipers on my motorbike, I thought the mountain bike would be a doddle to sort! I had tried to free the piston - which was "sticky" as I don't use my mountain bike much - and had managed to get the piston stuck at an angle. Local bike shops couldn't take it apart. Clarks looked at it, concluded that the piston was corroded and without any fuss sent me back a reconditioned one. Have to say that it's nice to deal with a UK company that stands over its product. Rating reflects customer service. Replacement system is c£40 (normal hose, not braided) on chainreaction. 11 June 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Bad Got these as standard on my Carrera Vulcan. Not a bad looking brake set but not brilliant at stopping you.. Also there's a little o ring that keeps failing and lets all of the fluid out which is a problem when it happens mid way down a hill. This has happened to me twice in 6 months from new. Be warned! 11 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent replacement I bought theese to replace my Tektro Drace which came fitted as standard on my bike, because a lever had snapped, and the pistons were beginning to stick. I don't use them for downhill riding or any such high-demanding riding, but I use them to and from school every day. Nevertheless I still get a good feel of the performance of the brakes in a non-demanding environment. They seem sharp, and are very agile. Ones I hit the brakes, they respond, and are not like my Tectros. The feel of the lever is decent, and the adjustment possibilities are nice to have. I have not yet had problems with the screws being loose and unwinding themselves, but as a precausion I've put some threadlock on there. The fact that they come pre-bled, and with a second set of pads are very useful. When I was about to fit them, my curious father pressed the lever when I has pulled out the pad which is there to prevend the pistons from being pushed out. This resulted in me having to bleed them. Nothing more trouble bleeding theese than other brakes I have delt with. Overall great brakes for the price! 24 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Value Bought this Hydraulic brakes front & rear 203mm and it's comparable to my Avid code R..tbh it's far better than my avid which is worth almost 3x the price I paid for the pair. will recommend to all.... 29 January 2013

Answer:
A pair of brake pads will come fitted to these brakes so you will not need to purchase any separately.

According to Clarks you need pad VRX815C but this is not currently available from CRC. An alternative would be the Nukeproof pad http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/nukeproof-magura-marta-sl-disc-brake-pads/rp-prod42151
