Fit the Grand Prix Supersonic, coupled with a Race28 Supersonic tube and you've got the lightest and fastest tyre combination on the market at just 200g.
The Grand Prix Supersonic offers exceptionally low rolling resistance that rivals that of our renowned tubulars. The tyre is now even faster thanks to the new Black Chili compound which utilises nano particles of carbon to create a molecular structure of the rubber comound which is stronger, faster amd grippier than previous compounds.
Our super-fine, polyamide casing combined with a thin layer of Black Chili rubber is extremely lightweight and is designed to allow high inflation pressures.
This tyre is intended for race use only in solo events, and is not recommended for road races or training rides due to its short tread life. There is no extra puncture protection with the Grand Prix Supersonic due to the lightweight construction. Riders should weigh up the compromises that they are willing to take before selecting this tyre.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Fast But Don't last long!
This is a very fast and light weight tyre. I use them for time trailling. Luckly I've not yet had a puncher but am waiting for that day. They ride great and have loads of grip but they crack. My set are only a year old I run them at the recormened pressure and never leave them at a high pressure when not in use, but the tread section of both tyres is cracking and coming away. very dissapointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great tyre
I've used them on 5 hill climb trials and one criterium. Also did my warm-up rides on them. Very wary of puncturing - but no puncture (yet). In fact now I want to use them for road racing! You feel the lightness, they hiss beautifully at speed on the tarmac and give you very much of a tubular feel.

I've been riding these on the track with Supersonic tubes and they are simply the best and lightest combo around. Highly recommend them. Don't use them on the raod though coz they wont last too long and I reckon they would puncture easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great tires for velodrome.
I use these tires on my track bike on an indoor wooden velodrome (in Canada) and have for four years. Of course I've worn a couple out but have had zero issues with them otherwise. They're the lightest tire I can find.

I bought these tyres for optimum weight saving,I must say first time I stomped on the pedals,my bike literally come off the ground,it felt so light.Amazing performance in that department. BUT as the description says, punctures came on nearly every ride, not good.I wasnt using 140+psi,so that wouldnt have helped,so buy with this in mind. If you want reliability, try something a bit heavier.
