Continental Rubber Queen Tyre

The Queen of Knobbly Tyres

This Queen combined with your choice of UST/Rigida/Nagesti rim will form an airtight chamer doing away with the need for a tube, therefore saving weight and making pinchflats impossible. With lower tyre pressures possible the tread can adapt to the ground quicker than conventional tyre and tube combinations giving a smoother ride. The Black Chilli compound gives extremely low rolling resistance and excellent grip.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all round tyre IMO Tyres are preference of opinion and mine is the queens are the best all round tyre. Shed mud well, good traction on wet, dry rooty rocky surfaces. I do am riding and dh. Went revolution bike park and they were fine. 12 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by My go to tire for year round riding! Been using rubber queens for around 5 years but last year decided to try a black chilli. I use a 2.4 b/c on the front and now dont bother with anything else, there brilliant. I find them predictable in all conditions and roll fairly well even on the road. I have had one which seems defective its got a wobble when mounted on the rim and bead is perfectly seated? Should not have a problem at £50.Hasnt put me off though. Highly reccomend 28 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome rear tyre Have been using this in a 2.2 on the rear of my Reign, I have it paired up with a Hans Dampf on the front and its the best setup i've had yet. Give it a try for any rocky, rooty damp to wet trails. Loads of grip and takes forever to wear down. 29 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing grip I have always used conti mountain kings which have been good but these are fantastic, they grip like nothing on earth, roots, rocks, mud are no bother to these. They are a little bit expensive but you get what you pay for and if they last as long as the other conti tyres then they are good value. They do look massive, I bought the 2.2 and they look more like 2.4s. Overall I can't recommend them highly enough! 13 March 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by TYRE ORIGINALLY VEILED After installation I noticed the tyre was not turning round. I thought a few rides would make the tyre turn round, no way... After a few rides I decided to mount an other tyre.... I think I cannot return it as I did not keep the labels.... First time it happens to me after 10 years of intensive rides..... The most expensive is not always the best..... 18 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great cornering grip until total gloop nice and quiet Took a punt on this tyre as I had seen a few peoples roll out of shape and become unrideable , They seem to be holding up very well in their UST guise popping on the rim easily with a little soapy water Nice rooster in berms in the dry and feel firm even though the carcass size seems very big Superb grip in the dry to mildly moist conditions Predictable drift in showery weather not letting go at all leant over Lets hope they last the distance as they are not cheap.. Have my spikes on now though till this dreaded monsoon season clears 30 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good grip but delicate I have the 2.2 UST Black Chilli... Grips well but I tore the tread carcass and side walls on two tyres on my rocky trails (eroded granite, loose over hard with coarse rocks). My trails are hard on most tyres but these gave up before others have. If you ride similar trails choose carefully, if not, buy with confidence. 27 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by fit and forget my new favourite tyre, replacing my minion/HR combo. The black chilli in these is softer than the MKIIs, good mud shedding, grip on everything and not too sluggish. 2.2s come up just as wide as a maxxis 2.35, but a shade taller. Don't confuse these with the black plastic cheap versions. 15 January 2014

Answer:
I am running mine on DT Swiss E540 rims that came standard on my Reign. I have them in 2.2 using tubes and have no problems. Internal width of my rim is 21mm

Answer:
These tyres will be fine on normal rims with tubes.

They can be a bit tougher to mount on the rim initially but the stronger sidewalls add more protection and less flex when out riding.

Answer:
You can run these on normal rims but you'll still need to use tubes. If you want to run these tubeless you'll need to get UST rim strips to cover the spoke holes in your rims and some liquid latex such as Stans Notubes liquid latex.

Answer:
No. Your rims have to be tubeless ready or air will escape out of the spokes.
