Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great grippy tyre but pain to install A great commuting tyre that removes a shocking amount of water when wet - sends a thin rooster tail of water from both front & back. Only negative is that the wire bead makes it an absolute pain to install 08 February 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Grippy and fast but ultimately rubbish Me: I cycle/commute around 120 miles a week except in snow and very icy conditions. Typical commuting surfaces, from glass strewn paths to smooth new tarmac. I weigh around 17 stone. The good: I got my first Continental World Contact from CRC mid September 2011. It's a nice tyre, fast and easy rolling. Grippy in the wet. It's also very puncture resistant – I've not had a puncture with these tyres since I've owned them. The bad: May 2012 and the beading on the tyre started to come loose on the edge of the tyre. It also developed a big bump on the side of the tire. CRC exchanged the tyre free of charge under the warranty – sterling service. Unfortunately, the replacement tyre also developed a bump in the side-wall this morning (June 2013). I'm rather disappointed by these Continentals and decided to get a different brand of tyre altogether. I was willing to accept that one tyre failure might be due to chance but not two... 26 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing for commuting! This tire is amazing for commuting! It rolls fast, is comfortable, has grip come rain or come shine and most of all it almost never puncture. I have this tire on my commuting bike which I use all year round. For three years (2 sets of tires) I have been commuting around 20'000km and only had 2 flats. I highly recommend this tire! This is my favorite! (Even if Schwalbe marathon is quite good too) 07 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent tough, fast commuter tyre I bought a pair of these in 700x32 2 years ago to replace the knobblies that came on my Cube Nature hybrid/trekking bike. Much quicker on tarmac. I have done 2500 miles approx and am just now replacing the rear. Front still has loads of life. I have never had a puncture, despite my 30 mile commute over a variety of (bad) road surfaces and banging up and down pavements and potholes. Only replacing as I noticed the rear was a bit worn and badly cut in a few places whilst I was replacing my bottom bracket. Dug out a big chunk of glass, and a sharp slither of stone. Amazing they didn't puncture. Grippy on tarmac, good in the wet, pretty quick too. I've done quite a bit if light trail riding on them too although muddy stuff not so good, obviously. 20 November 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent commuter / city tyre I got these as stock on my Scott Sub 30 2011 in size 700 x 37 and have done well over 2000 miles on the crappiest roads imaginable with huge craters and various debris such as shards of glass and some incredibly sharp shells. I was convinced the tube was gonna puncture after riding over many of these shells the other day and amazingly it didn't! I genuinely haven't had one puncture in over 2000 miles and nearly a year of riding on these things. They do have large gauges in them now and have lost some grip but I am reluctant to change them because they are so good. They cope with gravel towpaths, grass and roll very well on tarmac. Continental actually used to offer a year guarantee and free replacement on these if they failed within a year! Unfortunately they don't any more. My tip is to ensure that they are always inflated to the max or near the max recommended PSI. Will definitely buy these again. 19 October 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good, but could be better. First impressions of this tyre were good, easily fitted with a single tyre lever and a bit of brute force and ignorance, roll very well, dry grip is awesome and I've never had an issue in the wet, from merely damp to chucking it down, this is on a bike that spends it's entire life loaded, the only issue with grip is with wet manhole covers etc, but no tyre can be expected to grip on smooth metal in the wet. Where the tyre scores badly, in my experience anyway, is puncture protection, less than 80 miles after fitting, the rear punctured, I never found out what did it, but there's a cut in the tyre that has visibly grown since I repaired the puncture, can't see anythjing in the cut, but it's not inspiring my confidence as to it's longevity. 18 August 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great grip, smooth feel, no flats. I got these for a few months now and I am very pleased with them. Despite being rather slick they have a very good grip even on poor (and wet) greek roads. I enjoy cornering with these tyres. So far I had not a sigle flat keeping them at max pressure. Suggested. 11 August 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by commuter essential I've had these 6 weeks or so, i'm a daily commuter across some pretty poorly maintained road surfaces. these replaced some worn conti countryride 37's which were extremely hard wearing and durable. i went for the 32 flavour in these and i think i picked right. The rolling resistance is great, as a v heavy rider i run them at high pressure and can get some pretty respectable speeds up en route. haven't put them to the cornering test in wet yet, but no reason to think they won't hold, i just ride that bit more carefully when i'm getting hammered in the rain. i'm super happy with this purchase, the only reason these tyres don't get 5 stars is that i haven't ridden them long enough yet, but on early impressions, if you're an urban commuter these are the ones to get. 27 June 2012
