Rated 4 out of 5 Good value Have never punctured. Always had good grip from these and a good length of life given the grip they offer. And these tyres have repeatedly been ridden on heavily abused farm roads with pot holes, rocks, dirt.... 13 April 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good grip - wear quick As with many tyres good grip = wear quick. Less than 1 year from the tyres and Im a 6 or so hours per week cyclist, so those doing heavy trainig or commuting would rattle through these pretty fast! However up until the point the outside casing started to disintigrate (through wear) they were a dream to use. 03 September 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor puncture protection These tyres were fitted as standard to my new road bike. I have already changed them after experiencing poor puncture protection. Small pieces of flint seem to work their way through the casing wit ease. The tyres are light and roll well, they have decent grip, and they are not that uncomfortable for a 23mm. I cannot comment on longevity as they have already been changed. 02 June 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Great! Bought these for front and back after orgional tyres started to wear. 3 punctures in 3 weeks!! Previous tyres 1 puncture in 3 years! Not good. Swapped over to Schwalbe and hoping for the best! 25 April 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good tyres Rear lasted nearly 3k miles. used on daily commute between Barry and Cardiff. Found puncture protection better than my old gatorskin. Lighter that the specialized all condition pro II's that came on the bike. Not the best in the wet, especially on manhole covers, 19 March 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Feels slow and punctures far to easily I bought a pair of these for my commuter bike as the product description made them sound better than the Conti Ultra Sport tyres I've been using on my commuting/training bike. What a big mistake - I paid more for a worse tyre! The Ultra Race tyres not only feel 'dead' to ride compared to the Ultra Sport tyres, but they also have barely any puncture protection. I went out on my second ride on these things and the amount of glass in the tread is unbelievable. Glass seems to deflect off the Ultra Sports, but it goes straight through these. Do yourself a favour: and spend an extra tenner or so on better tyres, or spend less money on more durable tyres.I use Schwalbe Ultremo ZX on my racing bike, which I also train on. I can't remember ever getting a puncture with those, for 2,000 miles. I'll be going back to Conti Ultra Sports for my commuter and these'll be going straight in the f***ing bin! 31 December 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Utter garbage Been riding on these for a few hundred miles now and have to say the "puncture protection" is nigh on non-existant. As a commuter tyre where you have to get somewhere on time I can't recommend it at all, of course thats not what it's designed for but when you're getting punctures off of the tiniest bits of gravel it does suggest something is wrong. The casing looks like swiss cheese as well due to all that nasty gravel you find outside of a velodrome, very glad I got them with the bike and didn't actually buy them out of choice. 09 October 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fair but Not Great I've put about 200 miles on these so far with one flat and a couple of suspicious slow leaks. They ride and corner well but for long distance training or durability, these won't work. You'll need to upgrade to Gatorskins or Michelin Carbon. 15 July 2011
