Unlike the other reviews i havent had to deal with any bent axles. But keep in mind i dont ride DH either im more an All Mountain/XC rider and for that purpose they work great for me. I like the wide area for the foot makes a huge diffrence for me. Very grippy with alot of pins. and are quite light for the width. Only 60g heavier than clipless XT spd pedals.
Also look great on my '12 Epic Comp.

I like the 10 pins on the pedals you can put them in or out.
Grippy pedals, like the red color & black spindles.
Spin smooth and nice and wide for some 5.10 shoes.
So far happy with them!

I feel really locked to the bike if i used a clip-on a pedal, but the problem with normal pedal for my is largely that my foot tends to slip of the pedal when im running of steep ledges etc in the wood, but with this little baby.. that changes the ball game tottaly!
It acctualy feels like i am tightly locked onto the pedal while im reality i'm not, perfectly balanced also, could'nt be more pleased with this product.
Cant even say i noticed much of it gripping the ground either when im running over things, but thats largely a case of keeping the pedals leveled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Own a pair, used them for almost 2 months until I bent the axle on the left one and have had no luck finding a replacment axle. Like them but they're nothing special!!

For a pedal that claims to be dh race ready, with a 5 year warranty I have been very disappointed to say that I have broken three pairs of these, first cracked the plastic right down the middle, second bent the axle and smashed the little outter bearings, and the third pair bent again after two trips to the track. Just not up to the job if you ask me, but if you can manage to race downhill without ever letting them touch the ground they may be ok, but I did witness one snap right off the cranks when a dude landed a jump at one of our races. Didnt hit them on anything, Lucky he didn't break his ankle

these pedals are no good. great as far as grip goes and it good to see that the crappy plates that used to fall off the old ones have been removed but i have owned these for less than 3 months and have managed to bend both axels big time. would not recomend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Grippy as hell.
These are the best pedals I have ever owned. Pair them up with a good MTB shoe (Shimano AM41/5Ten) And you will NEVER slip a pedal!
Great wide solid platform silly light as well. I have the more expensive and lighter version. Which runs on much higher quality bearings.
I'd give them 5 stars but I haven't had them long enough to tell how long the bearings stay smooth for. Will update in a couple months. However in that time, get some yourself!!!!
