Rated 1 out of 5 by Gimmicky. These collars are crap at doing what they were meant to do......clamp your seatpost. The bolt bends easily when applying moderate force, and the cam becomes tight and squeally with use. My seatpost slipped down using this ( and the hope ) but solved by buying a cromag QR. Most people buy them because they are shiny i reckon.......but i bet thy soon bin them. 16 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant. Worth the money Normally bought cheap ones in the past but they can break and don't always last. This one's been tough, resistant to corrosion and really easy to clamp down. 24 September 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Red is pink! The red version isnt. Its Electric pink. I bought this to match my crank brothers skewers which are red, and the seat collar is very noticeably not red. Why crank bro's would make such a silly mistake I dont know. As it happens I dont mind so much, but you might. Other than that it does the job well and looks good 10 October 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bought this is in June at what i thought was a great price, have always run Salsa clamps before and never had a single issue with them, but this looked pretty trick in the two tones colour and i thought that the design was a good idea... err nope.. same as above re mud guard, but i suppose it was better than having nothing at all but the worse part about this clamp is that it just didnt work... my seat post kept slipping so tightened it a little more trailside using the easier option of closing the silver lever first and then the blue only for the blue lever to bend over the top of the silver one.. going back for a refund.. ill stick to Salsa.. if it aint broke.. (well they never have!!) Maybe its the design of the clamp as i also bought the skewers to match and the rear keep loosing as well... going back to salsa on that too! 13 September 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by five stars out of the box Locks very tight, looks awesome, will repostafter some time to see how it holds up to 120 kilos riding it. 11 September 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Produit de bonne qualité , plutôt lourd . Pour info , le rouge est identique à celui des molettes d'amorto Fox . 26 August 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice idea but doesn't work Positives: 1) Looks great (only reason it didn't get one star), i have a blue one (until tomorrow when its going back) and its a very sexy piece of metal Cons: 1) It simply doesn't work! It cannot be done up tight enough to keep the seat post in place (as per other reviews) Even when the adjuster screw is done up as tight as possible by hand it will simply not hold the saddle still, in a 30min ride i had to stop 4 times to put it back up, simply unacceptable! Avoid, move on, find something else pretty that actually works. 10 August 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK but would not pay the rrp for it The seat clamp is of the same quality as the wheel qr's (had bought them a few weeks prior and so convinced me on this) however the rubber cover is not by any means a great feature and if you are using that as a reason to get this over another then dont expect to much. The cover has snapped of during lugging in and out of my car and it wasn't an item that would keep to much dirt out anyway as it does not hold flush to the seat tube. Unless it is on an offer or you have other matching parts i would entertain other items more, the hope for example is just as good if not better finish in some respects and as rrp much better value. That said i do prefer the split clamp on this as it really does help you get the same level of tightness as a bolted clamp with ease so if you find it a pain to get the clamp really tight i can recomend. 10 July 2011
