Cube Aim SL 26 Hardtail Bike 2014

A reliable hardtail with a comfortable seating position, efficient 24 speed transmission and extended capabilities thanks to the Shimano 395 disc brakes. The Aluminium Lite 6061 frame features Cube's Frame Save System consisting of a replaceable derailleur hanger with thread in the hanger. It is specially designed for use with disc brakes and the cross-ovalized down tube is manufactured using Cube's Advanced Mechanical forming process, designed for high durability. RFR geometry delivers a comfortable riding position due to a shorter top tube. The Aim SL 26 includes an easy-rolling wheelset with Shimano Centrelock hubs, DT Swiss spokes and ZX 24 rims. Also included are a 100mm travel Suntour XCT 29 suspension fork with lockout, Shimano 3x8 components with Alivio rear derailleur and a Scape Active 8 saddle for plenty of comfort on longer rides. Quality parts like the CUBE Rise Trail Bar, CUBE stem and CUBE Performance Post complete the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Alot of bike for the money, I purchased this bike a week ago and I took it out on its 1st outing on Sunday, I took the quick release wheels off and easily fit into the back of my fiat punto, I took it to Cannock chase in the midlands for its 1st ride and wow it was amazing the bike rode so smooth and felt so confidant on the bike and safe thanks to the hydraulic brakes and suspension with lockout, the bike easily rode the 10 mile follow the dog xc trail witch has a mixture of large climbs, steep descents, long wooden bridges and technical corners, the bike did not miss a beat. love the bike highly recommended. 22 September 2014

Hi,
I need a new headset for this bike - the FSA no.10 is nowhere to be found - is there a equivalent/newer model from FSA that I can use on this frame?
I can't even find info about the FSA no.10 headset on FSA website.... so can't figure out the exact dimensions I need to look for...

Thanks.

Answer:
Not much an answer as an addition to my own question, but after much searching and reading, I think I finally figured out the original FSA No.10 headset S.H.I.S (see attached chart):

Upper: ZS44/28.6
Lower: ZS44/30

So, am I right in assuming that **ANY** headset matching the above S.H.I.S will fit on this frame? I'd still like to get CRC pro's answer on this.

Thanks guys!

Answer:
In regards to your first response; you are correct, any S.H.I.S. Matching Headset cups will be compatible (assuming they accommodate a straight fork steerer).

This headset standard is known as Semi-Integrated for 44mm Headset Cups; Upper and Lower.

Some good options to consider are suggested below:

Ritchey Comp Press Fit Semi Integrated Headset 2013 (sku134922)

&

Nukeproof Warhead 44IISS Headset (sku332908)

Answer:
No. The geometry of this frame is set up for a 100mm travel fork. An increase of 20mm is usually OK however, a 40mm increase will have a negative effect on the handling of the bike and may invalidate the warranty.
