Cube Attain GTC Road Bike

The Attain GTC is a significant milestone in the world of carbon road frames. Carbon has established itself as the discerning rider's frame material of choice; the Attain GTC is a bike that's not just extremely light and comfortable, but also fast and efficient. This is the ideal race bike for demanding riders looking for a companion on long, fast rides.

Attain Pure Performance on this Light Carbon Road Bike

This comfortable carbon frame was developed from the ground up by Cube's engineers to combine class-leading comfort, performance, and low weight. The rear end's slim aero flex seatstays are designed to reduce the impact of shocks from the road surface to the rider. This is a clear advantage on longer rides, whereby increased comfort will reduce the symptoms of fatigue and tension. The big volume downtube - in combination with the PressFit bottom bracket and tapered headtube - ensures that your efforts are efficiently converted into forward propulsion and that every steering impulse is precisely transmitted to the front wheel. Naturally, Cube also routed all the shift and brake cables internally.

Mavic Aksium Wheelset with Shimano's 105 Groupset

As a match for the high-quality frame, Cube selected Mavic's Aksium system wheelset. The full Shimano 105 groupset is a masterpiece of technical understatement, uniting the functionality and shifting performance of Shimano's high-end components with superb durability and reliability. The gear range makes use of a 50-tooth chainring and a 2x11 setup, with a 34x32 low gear ratio on hand to take the sting out of even the steepest of climbs.

Technologies:

  • Twin Mould Technology: The Twin Mould technique uses re-usable cores during the lay-up process to ensure precision frame moulding. Special inserts guarantee optimum ply orientation during the production process to add extra strength at frame points subject to higher loads. This improves the safety of the product and delivers outstanding stiffness characteristics.
  • Gran Turismo Composite: In designing the GTC carbon fibre frames, safety and comfort are the main factors. Cube uses high modulus fibres for the parts that are stressed the most such as the headtube, the seat tube, top tube, and the bottom bracket area. That is why the frame still offers flex and comfort resulting from the flexible tubes. Cube's special production process with inner and outer moulding forms ensure that the minimum of required material is used, reducing overall weight even with complex frame designs. All GTC frames have of course passed DIN -Plus testing.
  • PressFit BB: With PressFit bearings, the bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into the frame and not screwed in as usual. This gives a wider bottom bracket shell and allows Cube to build a wider downtube and more broadly spaced chainstays. Every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement in lateral stiffness.
  • Tapered Headtube: This headtube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the headtube. On all of Cube's carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved and the energy transfer is very direct.
  • Integrated Cable Routing: Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

Easy Assembly

When you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. Upon delivery, the assembly is simple and all necessary tools are conveniently included in the box.

Depending on the delivery service and destination, bikes will either be delivered in a large or a small box. Below is a guide as to how your bike will arrive:

  • All bikes for delivery within the UK and Republic of Ireland will be delivered in a large box, except for kids’ bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer's boxes.
  • All bikes for delivery within the EU on a standard service will be delivered in a large box. If an express delivery option is chosen, your bike will be packed into a small box. Again, the exception is kids’ bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer's boxes.
  • All bikes for worldwide delivery outside the EU will be delivered in small boxes.
