Cube Stereo 160 Super HPC Race 27.5 Bike

27.5" trail bike performance galore. Cube put all their knowledge of carbon frame manufacturing into this bike.

Equipped with top-notch components such as the SRAM X0 drivetrain with the new Race Face Turbine double cranks, the powerful SRAM brakes and a stock dropper post - it's safe to predict a permanent grin on the rider's face while shredding trails.

The Stereo Super HPC full carbon frame is the current benchmark in terms of weight and performance. With Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing technology we get maximum durability at an astonishingly low weight - enhanced even more by details like the 7075AL hardware on the pivot points. The 27.5" wheels and our Agile Ride Geometry work in sync with the efficient 160mm four bar suspension to allow for a fast, agile and confident ride on tight singletrack and technical alpine trails alike. The superior kinematics of our Efficient Trail Control smooth out even the worst trail obstacles.

With a RockShox Pike RC suspension fork and Fox Float CTD BoostValve shock the Stereo Super HPC Race is perfectly equipped for any all-mountain or enduro adventure. The exclusive Race Face Turbine double cranks and the precise SRAM X0 2x10 drive train with a Type2 rear derailleur always deliver the right gear. New SRAM Guide R four piston disc brakes provide superior braking power for those long and demanding alpine descents. The equally robust and light CSW EM 2.7 wheels with Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires and the Race Face Turbine 35 cockpit complete this exceptional enduro package.

Technologies:

  • Agile Ride Geometry: Cube ran innumerable tests to develop the Agile Ride Geometry in their series of big wheel bikes. Three important details resulted. Increased fork offsets allows for the same trail as Cube's 26in bikes without having to steepen the head angle, thus maintaining generous toe clearance to the front wheel. Secondly they shortened the chainstays without compromising the seat angle. A patented construction to mount the front derailleur gives more tyre clearance while keeping a conventional seat angle, leading to a perfect riding position for every rider size. Last but not least the BB height remains the same as on their 26in bikes. These measures lead to a natural riding position. Every mountain biker will feel immediately at home on a Cube29er or 27.5.
  • Efficient Trail Control: Cube's Efficient Trail Control series works so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. With 27.5 and 29er wheel options their frames cover the widest range of riding on every terrain you can imagine. The low leverage ratio and linear rate curve makes the bike very sensitive, avoids bobbing and offers full usable travel all the time. Steep seat tube angles and slack headtube angles make these dream machines ready for action on the descent where you can use the full amount of travel to be on the safe side.
  • Trail Motion Rocker: The Trail Motion Rocker features optimized leverage ratios for every bike and intended use, giving fast reacting yet stable suspension in every situation. The computer-designed one piece rocker construction gives maximum stiffness for the best suspension performance while still being extremely lightweight.
  • Wet Paint Surface: On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
  • FSP4Link: The key requirement is for continuously active and fully usable travel, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. There are a number of ways of achieving this – Cube favours a four bar design with a chainstay pivot. Here, one of the pivots is located between the dropout and the chainstay, ensuring that braking does not have a negative effect on the movement of the rear wheel. By carefully positioning the remaining pivots, we obtain the finest riding qualities for our full suspension bikes both uphill and downhill. This fact is proven by many top test results in leading magazines over the last few years.
  • Advanced Twin Mould: The Advanced Twin Mold process eliminates any dangerous folding by continuous control of carbon fibres during the curing process. This is made possible by an internal form which provides the perfect frame form during the layup process. Each individual fibre remains precisely in position as it cures. In this way less material can be used as the individual layers can be more accurately and reliably positioned. This production method also makes it possible to increase the carbon fibre proportion in line with anticipated loadings at specific points on the frame.
  • Super High Performance Composite: Models bearing the SUPER HPC logo are top quality products. Every extra year of carbon composite experience gives Cube new optimisation know-how which is then implemented in the SUPER HPC models. Every detail of this line is refined and optimised and the limits of what is feasible are pushed ever higher. For SUPER HPC only high-quality carbon fibres and resins are used. The Advanced Twin Mold process is used exclusively in order to maintain close manufacturing tolerances and to avoid superfluous use of material.

Easy Assembly

When you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. Upon delivery, the assembly is simple and all necessary tools are conveniently included in the box.

Depending on the delivery service and destination, bikes will either be delivered in a large or a small box. Below is a guide as to how your bike will arrive:

  • All bikes for delivery within the UK and Republic of Ireland will be delivered in a large box, except for kids’ bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer's boxes.
  • All bikes for delivery within the EU on a standard service will be delivered in a large box. If an express delivery option is chosen, your bike will be packed into a small box. Again, the exception is kids’ bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer's boxes.
  • All bikes for worldwide delivery outside the EU will be delivered in small boxes.
