  • Frame Safe System: To protect their high-end aluminium frames from damage, they are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. The mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as is usual. In case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced by a new one.
  • Wet Paint Surface: On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. Cube use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
  • Integrated Post Mount: The postmount system is found at all carbon fibre frames, the high end models of the touring bikes and the upper range aluminium models. The bolts and the IS adpater aren’t needed anymore, less parts mean less weight. In this case we save 30 grams. This may not sound a lot. But as you see, there is potential to save weight in every detail.

I am interested in the Cube Touring 2013 NL (Netherlands?) bike but before ordering wanted to check if the 54cm size is right for me or not. The geometry of the NL version seems a little bit different, more upright, to the standard non-NL version - so is the standard "Cube Touring" recommendation of 170-175cm rider height still valid?

I am 180cm tall, with 32'' inside leg. The bike would mainly be used for city commuting, with occasional longer day rides, so an upright position is preferable.

Many thanks,
