Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Not sufficient for bike trainers
If you are considering this mat as a vibration dampener for your bike trainer and you have hardwood floors like me and you live in a flat, I can tell you that it is not good enough (I have the Tacx Flow VR). It protects your floor, but that's about it. Vibrations are transferred through the mat and into your floor. The vibrations are what causes most of the noise from a trainer. No mat this thin will do the job. You would be better off with a thick exercise mat (I have a 2cm compact foam rubber one which does an excellent job), playground tiles (interlockable foam rubber/rubber tiles) or something similar. This is not so much a critisism of the mat as it is a critisism of trainers for causing the vibration in the first place.
