Rated 4 out of 5 by cheap and cheerful Bought these as ideal shoes for spinning classes. They are ideal for the job, comfortable and I ordered one size up (48) from my running shoes. Fit well though have never used them outside. 29 August 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Just arrived!really nice shoes"^^ these shoes have just arrived (thanks CRC for the prices and the professional way you manage international order--hat-off---really fast delivery) i've the blu navy/white vers....they look really nice ,solid and with a good price/quality ratio...they fit really well. my feet is long(short:D) about 26,7 cm and i've choosed the 42EU size ---perfect--- of course they belong to entry level class, but...for an amateur cyclist (who doesn't want pay a lot) they represent a good compromise. 18 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent entry level shoes I normally go for shimano shoes as I'm used to their sizing but diadora seem similar as the 45 fitted me perfectly, quality is very good and after some heavy use I can honestly say they are as comfortable as my previous shimano shoes 13 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cool Diadora's. These arrived (again) the next day Chainreactioncycles you did it again :) Great looking cycle shoes, not used them yet, but will do from March. The only reason I gave 4* instead of 5* is I sent for the incorrect size. I checked a chart on the net. & it said 44 = UK 10. but I now know that 44.5 = uk 10. I think Chainreactioncycles need to put uk sizes also. They just fit, so I am not ging to send these back, size UK10 would have been perfect. 11 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 100 times better than I expected These are my first pair of Road SPD's, previously I have used touring and MTB shoes. I noticed two things. 1 - just how light these shoes are and 2 - the amount of additional power I am able to put through the pedals. At this price they are amazing and 100 times better than I expected. 11 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sprinter 2 i'm new to clip in and these are good value try level shoe. good stiff sole and straps are ok. the smaller strap doesn't seem to do much. best thing is the cleat guide lines on the sole for lining them up. i'm a uk 9 in nearly all shoes but had to go 9.5 with these. you'll not find better for the price i think. 18 December 2012

do I need special pedals?

I have only cycled in trainers before and never bought cleets. Are these shoes ok with normal pedals?

Also are they waterproof - I live in Scotland?!!!

Answer:
I can confirm that these shoes are not okay to use with normal pedals they require and SPD-SL pedal.

Finally I would not claim these shoes to be waterproof, as nothing really is but you could purchase a pair of overshoes to aid you in the pursuit of dry feet while cycling in rainy Scotland similar to over here in rainy Northern Ireland.
