Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice product Simple to use. Critical to get the chain line perfectly straight. Otherwise I found that the chain would pull to the inside or outside of the roller, and make a lot if noise. Once set up straight, it's great. 28 June 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good product, probably the best conversion kit on the market! Simply amazing bike part!! Looks really nice in white and there is no rub with the jockey which surprised me! It also took me only 15 minutes to put on. It's extremely easy to adjust, would recommend to anyone! well done DMR 26 December 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Looks great, but does not hold tension as hoped This is great looking and well designed, but after a ride the tensioner does go slightly loose which makes the chain slightly slacked and that makes way for the chain to pop off or to skip. Looks good and would be ok for a recreational rider, but if you take your biking serious, then I would not recommend this. Try different ratios until you find a ratio that you can go without the chain tensioner. 03 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Muy versátil Se adapta perfectamente al cuadro de la bici y se puede usar para tensar hacia arriba y hacia abajo, funciona correctamente 22 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Chain has never come off with this product The 16 tooth sprocket supplied didn't work out with my chainstay length and 32 tooth front ring. I have just converted from an old 3-ring front crank - wish i just bought the shorter chainring bolts but instead i angle grinded the long ones back to fit and it was quite fiddly - but the DMR tensioner fitted straight on to the dropout where the deraillieur used to be, i used an old 18 tooth sprocket from an old cassette and the cassette spacers in place of several of the pretty coloured ones supplied with the DMR to get the right chain line. The chain seems to find it's own perfect tension with this, as after the first couple of rides i thought ohh it's slackenend off and i'd tighten up the bolt but the same would happen. It feels slacker than i thought would be perfect but rides great so i'm not fussed and don't think its a problem with the tensioner as such. Cheers 13 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT SS ADAPTER i had a gt hardtail 29r and i just had this fited along with a truativ crank and they are both AMAZING 24 November 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Troublesome I have had this on my MTB converted to single speed for around 6 months. The product is well made, but didn't fit as expected from the description. I needed to file down the drop out piece to fit my frame, which was no big deal. But the worst thing I didn't like was that the black piece you see in the picture needs to be inserted into your drop-out and if you continually remove your wheel (say for putting your bike into your car), then this hinders wheel removal and makes the whole process tiring. Also the bolts would loosen and thus require over tightening sometime. The sprocket teeth are too tall and cause chain pop. Also the roller isn't wide enough for a BMX chain, so you must use a narrow 9 speed chain. 13 September 2012

Answer:
This kit should offer a simple conversion; depending on the 'speed' of the Ultegra chainrings a new chain width may be required.

Answer:
This kit is intended for an 8/9-speed freehub width and the spacers included reflect this.

It may be possible to custom space the sprocket when using a 6 or 7 speed freehub body; for more advice please contact our Technical Department below with more information on your setup.
