Valve failed soon after first use. Pretty poor really.

I've used these for a few years now, not bad for the money. I've had 1 (out of about 10) where the valve has just given up and spewed its slimey guts out. But apart from that they seem last quite well and certainly do stop most punctures.
Shame they don't make them wider as I end up using the 2.1 in 2.3 tyres which I would imagine is stopping me from getting maximum puncture resistance as its being stretched more than intended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous self sealing!!
bought these inner tubes after reading good reviews. just come back from a local ride, after finding i had a puncture halfway home, looked at the wheel to find the worlds smallest thorn stuck in my tyre. after removing it and trying to pump tyre back up, gave up and had to borrow a repair patch off a friend. first puncture, and no good. will be sticking to normal inner tubes now, and carring a spare.

The self sealing sludge might work, however mine teared along the line threads that are left from fabrication. It just had a tear on the length of it- no puncture. It was a big tear and I guess the sludge got me safe home but it was a fabrication defect and it occurred only after about 100km of moderate riding- no big jumps pr anything. I'd say try Kevlar tape or better tires.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Very unhappy
Having suffered seven punctures on a winter ride after hedge cutting had taken place--obscured by snow and ice--I decided to buy these tubes. What a waste of money! On the first ride I suffered two punctures in the rear tyre, these did not seal and when I investigated two tiny holes were found with no trace of sealant. Having fixed in the conventional way I went on a further ride, no problems on the ride but days later the rear was flat. On investigation a tiny hole was again found from a very slow puncture and once again had not sealed--I may have been unlucky with a rogue tube but I think not!

I previously used slime inner tubes, one is still on the front of my bike after 3 years. The rear finally need replacing after a large gash in the tube. Replaced with Dr Sludge first tube lasted 2 days, the second 2 hours. Obviously its hard to be scientific when comparing the 2 brands, but I think I will stick with the Slime tubes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Weight
Just received two of these. There's no mention of the actual weight anywhere before buying so I stuck them on the kitchen scales. Best out of 3, one tube weights 230 grams, and the other is 260 grams.
I've given 3 stars because it's mid-way point. I'm yet to put them to the test... about to go to the garage now and fit them! I just thought it would be useful to note the weight (and the difference between the two tubes) while it's fresh in my head. I always seem to get rear punctures so I'll stick the heavier tube on the back on the logic that it has more sludge (protection) in it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Resistente a furos
