Easton EA90 RT Road Rear Wheel

Improved ride quality, better cornering traction, fewer flats; these are just a few reasons to ride road tubeless. Easton engineers recognized these benefits and saw an opportunity to make a better road tubeless wheel system using some of the technology that’s made Easton’s UST mountain wheels category leaders.

The EA90 RT wheelset utilizes a proprietary rim design that holds a road tubeless bead securely even at pressures less than 100psi and holds an airtight seal between the rim and tire. A 17.5-milimeter internal rim width provides an improved tire profile for added stability and even better flat resistance. We didn’t skimp on details with the road tubeless: The wheels rely on our sealed cartridge bearing R4 hubs, alloy freewheel and Sapim stainless spokes. As with all Easton wheels, the EA90 RT is entirely hand-built and acoustically tuned so it stays straight and true longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
05 February 2014

Answer:
Yes 8/9-speed cassettes are fine with the Shimano/SRAM freehub but do not require a spacer. A spacer is only required to be fitted for a 10-speed cassette for which the sprockets are spaced closer together making the cassette narrower.

Answers

Answer:
No, the EA90 wheels listed as 'Shimano/SRAM' are only compatible with Shimano and SRAM 10-speed cassettes while, the 'Dura-Ace Freehub' versions are only compatible with Dura Ace 7800/7900 due to a different Freehub Spine.

For compatibility with 11sp you will need to upgrade the Freehub to this version shown in the link below,

Answers

Answer:
Yes; the Ultegra 6700 and Dura Ace 7800/ 7900 cassettes use a higher spline pattern than normal cassettes, so while the Dura-Ace freehub can only accept these 3 specific cassettes, the cassettes themselves can still be fitted to regular freehubs without issue.
