I've had this for some time now. Great as water proof coat. Nice zip pocket on rear and unzipped deep pocket on inside too. Great quality and keeps all but the worst of the worst rain out. (and to be honest-who wants to be out in that) The best part of the coat is the detachable sleeves, thus making it a nice light, gillet. I've used it more in this mode than coat. Def thumbs up. All the coat / gillet you'll need. 10 of 10.

A good versatile jacket. Is waterproof but not particulary breathable. if you're a sweaty person you will get damp in this.Overall great value for money - I would buy another one if it was available in hi-vis.

I am really pleased with this jacket. As others have said the conversion into a gilet is genius and makes it even more value for money.
Sizing is spot on I am 6'2", hovering around 14 stone, 42" chest and the Large is a good fit on me.
I bought it last Spring and have pretty much worn it in one of it's two forms every time I cycled, although obviously not in the mid day sun. The addition of a thermal layer in the winter kept me warm once I got my pace up.
On the downside in about 10 minutes of heavy rain the contents of the zipped side pockets got soaked (put my mobile into a coma but fortunately it dried out). Rear pocket and body for the most part were nice and dry. I guess it taught me to always carry a couple of resealable bags when riding. Also, do not expect complete breathability, I am happy with how it performs but a sweatier ride will leave you feeling damp.
Overall, after a year of use I would highly recommend it. Great product.

A fantastic lightweight jacket that keeps you dry and still allows good air circulation. Practical in design and a good price.

i needed the jacket mostly because of the wind, and i haven't tried it yet under the rain. protection is great, and the zippers are high quality waterproof. useful the reflective line. even if i use a backpack, the air circulation is ok. the sleeves comes off easily with 2 zippers and you have a wind-breaker gilet

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous good quality cheap(ish) jacket
Rode in some really heavy rain in the lakes today and this jacket stood up to it all! I stayed completely sealed for 3/4 of the 15 mile ride and only got wet when water started seeping in over the collar because I hadn't done it up tight enough. This jacket is truly well designed- buy it if you want to stay warm and dry through the winter whatever you do.

I had a Montaine featherlight jacket that I foolishly took to Afan in the rain and got me soaked through riding from the old visitors centre to Glyncorwig. I bought this jacket at Skyline Bike shop Afan just before embarking on the Skyline ride, the rain was belting down. I reckon this jacket saved me from being air lifted off the mountain that day.
Since then I use the Gilet a lot more than the full jacket as it quickly lost its waterproofing and breathability which was a little disapointing.
At the end of the day, for the price this is a reasonable buy. I would suggest not washing this jacket and just give it a light hose down after your ride.
