Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality and very comfortable Although not 100% waterproof all over these shorts are excellent at keeping your back side dry even in very wet conditions. Very comfortable and light. Used them in both summer and winter. Very pleased! Buy them, they didn't get 10/10 reviews for nothing. 16 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Waterproof & comfortable, possibly not so hard wearing. Firstly, in common with some other reviewers, go one size larger than Endura's sizing chart would indicate. First impressions of these shorts were good, the stretch panels on the front work well and allow a full range of movement, they're quiet on the bike while pedalling with none of the usual crisp packet rustling from normal waterproofs. And the waterproofing works excellently, remaining perfectly dry in the conditions I've tested them in so far - soggy trails but no direct rain. I do have a couple of issues where quality is concerned. Firstly, after my second time out in these shorts, the waistband button snapped in two. Top marks to CRC, I returned the shorts and had a brand new pair back before the week is out and so far, the replacement has been fine. Also, I'd have reservations about the use of the super stretchy material on the knee however, as it's quite thin and wouldn't stand up to much abuse - perhaps a shaped piece of heavyweight cordura or even a kevlar blend in the knee area might be a better bet. Regarding some of the other design features, the leg vents are easy enough to use while on the move although you have to stop and stand up to access the pockets, despite the ripcord pullers on the zips. If these design and quality niggles weren't present, I'd be giving these a full five star review. 28 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Top quality product First off - the sizing isn't accurate - go a size bigger! At least CRC offer free returns/delivery! Excellent quality product. Pockets in all the right places. Very discreet belt. Good length and very lightweight. A little bit pricey, after all they're only shorts, but will be glad of a dry butt this weekend! 28 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and Nice Long Length Tried a friend's on after finishing a ride with a wet soggy backside and was impressed. They are a good length and don't ride up over the knee when riding. The elasticated waist makes them comfortable. I prefer mens shorts as they always come up to your waist, not somewhere in between which is how most womens shorts fit. 14 November 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by No Padded Shorts! The shorts are really good quality - BUT - there are not any padded cycling shorts included and the spec does not really state that it does not. This is contrary to the Endura Humvee shorts that do have them included. Makes the value rather poor and annoyed that I have to order them separately now which is wasting time. 02 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good fitting riding shorts Small box arrived, very light so I thought it must have been something else I had ordered but no. There they were. amazingly lightweight and a good fit. Looking forward to wearing these through Winter and Summer. 30 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Simply the best riding pants i ever owned! the waterproof rear side keep your butt dry. The zipped vents on the sides keep you cool during warmer days. Looks awesome and they are light! just perfect. 04 October 2012

Answer:
I wear knee protectors and there is enough width at the bottom for me to feel comfortable in the protectors. Just don't put the protectors on before you pull the shorts on! Great shorts

Answer:
There is nothing specific that states that the shorts are or aren't compatible with knee pads.
It will really come down to whether the knee pads you have are able to fit under these or you could go for a bigger size.

Answer:
The sizing for Endura is pretty spot on, there is a sizing guide to the right of the options that will help you ascertain the correct sizing being it for males or females in your case.

Answer:
I , as a lady, usually fit ladies size large in Endura. I bought these in large so they are big enough for my hips (men don't have any!) However, if you have slim hips you can go by the waist size. I like them as they are nice and long and Endura don't have any waterproof shorts for girls.
