Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicely padded where you might fall I already own some Endura multi-panel liner shorts, but wanted to try something with a better cushioning; the extra protective padding on the thighs and back were an added bonus. So far, I've worn these twice for rides on the South Downs and found them to generally feel more comfortable than my other liner. That said, I did find that they felt a little tight on the thighs when I first tried them on, but this seems to have gone now that they have been worn in anger. On a longer ride today though, I did suffer from a degree of 'male specific discomfort.' I'm not sure what was causing it, as I didn't want to stop to investigate, but I've not experienced it with my other liners, and some wonder whether these might have contributed to the discomfort....time, and some more rides, will tell. The discomfort upfront aside, I really like these liners and have found them more comfortable on the rear than the other liner. The extra cushioning on the thighs and coccyx looks, and feels, as if it would provide a bit of extra comfort if put to the test in a fall, but I can see how, like other reviewers have said, the area where it is stitched to the rest of the liner may be a weak spot and lead to tearing. Overall, a bit of a mixed review, but I am generally pleased with them. Yes, they are a bit on the expensive side, but if the padding works, it's worth it. 19 October 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Amazing padding and protection, but rips Very comfortable, amazing seat padding, but rips or has holes at side hexagons. Had to return mine 29 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by krackin bit of kit .....but The MT500 liners at there current price are a fantastic bit of kit to have if your looking for a bit more protection , hard wearing ,good seems ,great fit and no slip , nice thigh sponge , BUT there is one huge flaw with them and that is if you grab them above the hexagonal protection sponge on the thigh they will tear when pulling them on , I'm on my second set having learned what not to do . Overall for me a must have set of liners but be warned they will tear if your not careful . 15 August 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great - until they ripped These shorts are great, padding is in just the right places if like me you're prone to the odd tumble. Sizing is on the small side - I usually have a medium in other brands, but needed a large in these. However, after three rides (about 6 hours), the waistband ripped away from the back pad at the small of the back - looks like the stitching gave way. Bought from another site as CRC didn't have my size at the time. They have been returned to the manufacturer for replacement under warranty - hopefully I had a bad example and they're all not like that... 27 June 2012
