Rated 1 out of 5 by shoddy for the price +Initially a great year round jacket when using different base layers for additioanl warmth. As this is an MTB jacket which will be worn in cold and wet weather it will require frequent washing. Frequent washing (even at low temps without spin cycle) results in: - decals falling off - seams falling apart I contacted Endura who told me to talk to the retailer, CRC have always been good but as the jacket was over a year old I did not bother them. The best part of £200 I expect more than a year of riding, which for me would only be 30ish rides. Endura are finished for me which is a shame as it was good to have a British brand 28 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for cool/cold wet conditions I have own this jacket for 6 months now and I love it. I have worn it for hours in torrential downpours in this wet summer on at least 7 or 8 occasions and it has not leaked. The only downside is being so waterproof it is not as breathable as some soft shells. I found it too hot to wear while riding in temperatures above 15°C and if I only wore a wicking t-shirt underneath then my arms would sweat a lot. On cooler days with a long sleeved base layer this jacket performed perfectly. 21 October 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Marks Bought this jacket last week in a medium but once i got home and tried it out on the turbo trainer for sizing realized that it was going to be to big.Rang CRC who said that they would have no problem in exchanging it for the small size. So Top Marks to CRC once again. On to the jacket, worn it on a 5 oclock early morning cycle into work temp was 4 degrees,I had a short sleeved cycle top on underneath and within 3 miles i had to open the under arm vents to let a little cool air in. I didnt feel any wind on my chest or arms, and would recommend this jacket to anyone who needs a serious windproof, waterproof jacket. Top Marks to Endura and also to CRC 06 September 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by The top is good but even though i done the washing as it states on the label it lost coulour and bits started falling off straight away. so sent back and Endura said has been washed in hot water etc, nothing new there for them to say something like this. i know a few people with them and all have done the same. I would advise to look for other clothing, especially with a company with good customer services 18 November 2011

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not as warm as intended I bought this as recommended by the 'LBS' for a winter jacket and I have to say I'm less than satisfied. It's a great looking jacket, and I have no problems with the fit or quality. I do find it very poorly breathable however, and despite having all vents open, sweat horrifically in it. Consequently any period of inactivity becomes very cold. I tend to use it early morning and it just isn't warm enough for me with a sleevelesss baselayer. Any more than that, and it's almost too warm and we get a soggy damp interior! Yuk. It's difficult to know when best to wear it! My other concern is the Zips. They are the the small, part plasticy type. Particularly on the sleeves (do we really need the zips??) I get the feeling that it wont be too long before they break off. Still, haven't yet and may be wrong. It is very waterproof, as suggested, and I have no complaints from that point of view. It isnt however a patch on my Gore bike wear windstopper stuff. Shame really. I could best sum it up by saying that I would not recommend it to a friend and would certainly not buy it again. Really sorry! Love Endura stuff normally! 25 September 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by good but over rated!! my first one failed on the taped seams like other here but was replaced ok so no worries. but the magazine reviews and awards given totally over rate this jacket, its good but not amazing, i feel this has inflated the price too much, the jacket would be a good buy at £100 maybe £120 but as is its a little bit of a disappointment. over all a good jacket if a little over rated and priced. 10 March 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Kit I got one of these around two years ago for commuting to work (16 miles each ways through remote scottish rural area) and whilst cycling home last night (wearing this jacket and a thin micro-fleece base/mid layer underneath) in a freezing sleeting gale I realised I wasn't cold or cool or uncomfortable at all and as a result decided that this jacket deserved having it's trumpet blown - so to speak. I've got one of these in a large and it fits really well considering I also wear an XXL for the bibs of the same type (I maintain it's because my thighs are really beefy... not my gut!) and I'm pretty huge through my back and shoulders. Not at all baggy and snug where it needs to be and roomy where it needs to be - like a lot of really well designed cycling stuff, it almost feels a bit weird untill you sit on your bike and grab you handlebars - then it all makes sense and fits wonderfully. Similar in some respects to the very technical cut that companies like Montane use. My wife had originally bought me some Altura thing, but the cut of that was a terrible fit for me and so I opted for this. After all this time the red is starting to go a little pink through washing, but the bonded seams and tape is still all completely intact. (Obey the washing instructions! - 40 degrees and NO spinning) The water repellent finish (which counts so much tawards maintaining the breathability of some materials - especially Gore-Tex) has long since departed so I must admit to feeling a little damp around the outside of my shoulders and around my biceps last night, but that's still pretty good given the conditions and the fact that these areas of the body where generating little to no heat and very exposed. However, in true excellent Endura Aftersales fashion they were more than happy to advise either a spray on or wash in Nikwax or Grainger type reproofer would do the job. I've been reallty inpressed with the fit, quality and capability of this garment, and when worn with the bibs and some good overshoes and gloves there really are few weather conditions that will make you feel exposed. As I said in the title; Great Kit. And for me, Great Kit is anything that when you use you are almost completely oblivious to its being there or doing its job. This jacket definitely falls into that category! 10 March 2011
