Rated 5 out of 5 by Treelover69 Fantastic jacket that can take a lot of abuse...
Bought the original jacket about 4-5 yrs ago and it was fantastic but did suffer from the seam weld problems that are spoken of, I returned it and it was sent back to endura who promptly replaced it with no quibbles even after I had been using it for 3 yrs onwards. They explained that there may have been a fault with the first batch seam tape. Anybody that has a problem just didn't read the label which says clearly ( lifetime warranty ) so if you have any probs send it back no matter how long you've had it. My only gripe with it is that its a snug fit over elbow pads!

Used through one winter and it is a good fit, providing protection from the wind and all but the heaviest of rain. Can't say that I've had good results with regards to the 'breathability' of the fabric - the same goes for the eVent 3/4 shorts. They still seem to suffer from what I like to call 'the bin-bag effect', as more often than not I'm still sweaty underneath and I wear a tech top/cotton layer combo to wick away sweat from the skin (works well). Generally happy with the build quality; vast improvement over the eVent shorts which feature v.thin seam tape to join the different panels with insufficient over lap and thus they fall apart. My biggest gripe with the jacket is that the velcro cuffs have fallen apart; well, the rubber gripped straps have fallen away from the velcro fasteners themselves because of what looks like a weak adhesive failure. Overall it is quite a nice jacket to look at and wear but results from use over the past few months suggest that it's not worth £160.

Awesome jacket.. Could be more breathable.. But better then any other jacket I own. I also have the pants. Love the pockets and the built in zippers. I use this jacket for all my winter riding down to -20c with under Armour base 3

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Falls apart at the seams
The PTFE fabric range from Endura are the Achilles heal of what is a fantastic clothing company.
So what's the issue? Well the glue used to weld the seams to the PTFE material is not fit for purpose. The inside pocket is not stitched and the first time I put my iPhone in it disappeared inside the coat as the seam failed. Also when you wash it, as per the guide lines, the seam glue just melted slowly allowing the seams to work loose. The design and materials used are not fit for purpose as they should be able to withstand ordinary use and care.
This issue was not limited to my jacket, as my Venturi II trousers also literally fell apart at the seams. Endura were quick to replace but fundamentally the product is flawed so the replacement is of no use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Love it
I've had this jacket for over a year now, and it's really great. I use it for alpine trekking (with the detachable hood) as well as cycling, because I like the drop tail and long sleeves; trekking jackets tend to leave your bum and hands exposed. It's as waterproof and breathable as anything else I've had, and the pit zips work well.
There's some wear and pilling where my dayback rubs the lower back and at the velcro wrist tabs. All jackets seem poorly designed at the wrist area though, as the velcro hooks are like sandpaper on the surrounding material.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Well thought-out product
So far I love this jacket. The pockets are nice and large and plentiful - the little micro-shamy glasses cleaner in the Napoleon pocket is a great touch. The internal, removable soft cuffs are wonderful, you can really appreciated them from the very first time you put it on.
The sleeves are nice and long and serve well in the riding position. The collar is nice and high, and overall the jacket is very comfortable. I was worried that the sizing wouldn't be right, but it's fine. I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs. and the XL is slim-fitting without being tight, and the overall fit is excellent. I don't have a large build on top, but I could use just a little bit more width across the back of the shoulders.
My only other complaint is the super tight zippers. I know they're intended to keep the wind and weather out, but they're very stiff and it often require two hands - one to hold the jacket, the other to zip up. But maybe they'll loosen up over time.
In terms of breathability, like most breathable fabrics they score well in lab tests but in the real-world they're overwhelmed by heat and moisture generated by a hard effort on the road. Fortunately this is one of the best vented jacket I've ever owned with one on each upper arm and one on each side.
It's stylish and I've received several compliments (I got the red version). It's very light, and seems to be well-made, The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I've only been using it for two months. My first Endura product - so far so good. You can pay as much for similar products and not get as much value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Nice jacket
This jacket looks a lot better quality in real life than the CR pics. There is some nice attention to detail which you can't see in the pics, and the seams and sealed zips look very neat.
Warm enough in UK winter over a base layer, and the zip-off cuffs are great at keeping drafts out. The material itself is not that thick but feels pretty durable. Not as breathable as I expected, even with all the vents open and the front zip about a third open, cuffs off, I still end up with a wet back when pedalling moderately hard for 45 mins or so in 5-10 deg C (wearing a thin short sleeved jersey underneath and shorts) however I always use a Camelbak so this is probably not a fair test.
The vents are well placed and can be opened when wearing a Camelbak, but you'll probably have to stop to open them as the sealed zips are quite stiff so you can't just tug them open while in the saddle.
The fit is quite slim (compared to my previous jacket, which was an early 2000s Raceface Aquanot), and arms and back are plenty long enough (I have quite long arms).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous
