Rated 5 out of 5 by doomrider excellent quality backapck
High quality materials + high quality build + back protection + beautiful overall apperance all of this sums up to one word -EVOC!!!! Even with the back protector installed it is not overly firm and it follows the shape of your back nicely. This can be removed for less challenging rides but it is so lightweight that there is not even a need for it, it is made out of EPS-material used on helmets, some 140 grams. Back ventilation could have been better but it is not bad, I was expecting worse to be honest. I am using a helmet flap for uphill battles, it holds the helmet well. Really like the overall shape and color scheme of the backpack and the fact that both the front tool compartment and main compartment can be open fully for an easy acces. Even when fully heavilly loaded with helmet attached to it it sits perfectly on the back, like one body with it, no movement at all. I think it is thanks to the wide neoprene hip belt and thanks to the bacpack thickness, that is only around 14 -15 cm at the bottom of the pack so it does not moves on the back at all, it stays put. Even fully loaded it is very, very comfortable to carry around. Little detail that I really like is the small pocket located on the hip belt where I can fit my smart phone, or even my second sunglases-with clear lenses for a change when there is a need to. Stowable protection gear carry at the bottom is just a neat solution. I mean since I got this backpack I was looking for its advantages and disadvantages but I could not find anything wrong with it. Even put my into the crash test (without wanting to) when I went over the bars on really gnarly, steep section of the trail and my bike landed on my back and helmet-no consequnces at all !!!! Only thing that is a bit odd is the sizing of the backpacks, the overall lenght of the backpack is quite long and at my 184 cm M/L size fits me just right, but for smaller persons around 175 cm, which would be still in M/L range according to Evoc size chart, I think this size would be too long and there is good chance that it would interfere with the riders helmet or neck while riding some wild descents. I think there should be M size and L size on its own and recommend strongly try before buy. I had to set the backpack really carefully but now it fits like a glove and I LOVE IT and all its features and the feeling of security it gives to a rider is nice feature too.It is pricey but totally worth it.
