I have a Mk3 Max D and it has been absolutely fandabidozy brilliant. So I thought why not get another so I look at the current model Mk 5 which seems a tiny bit smaller and light and MORE powerful, 400 Lumens more at 1600 Lumens. Exposure have also added a light display to the rear so you can tell what setting the light is on and how much charge is left in the battery which is all to the good. They should really also provide another port so you can plug in the PiggyBack Cell and remote switch or rear light if you have one. Also a little padded case to protect it when it's off your bike would make this a perfect light. Btw it is very very bright. If riding on the road or cycle paths you have a duty to use it reponsibly as it will dazzle on coming road users so use switch the power down and slightly angle the light down (do not have the bracket so tight you cannot do this). It is a very bright light with an excellent spread of light, not too wide or so narrow you cannot see what is coming across your path. I can ride at 25-30mph and see everything. No more riding into darkness and hoping I don't hit a pot hole or horse crap on the road. It could be cheaper but then again it is extremely well made. HTH.
