An "extreme" lube; super durable high viscosity synthetic oils, special polymers, anti-wear additives, friction modifiers, and more, all combine to make this Finish Line's strongest, longest lasting, most water resistant lubricant. Wet all year on MTB. aids smooth consistent shifting (wet does attract dirt a bit, don't they all) Put it inside your shifter/ v brake cables i guarantee it will be 1/3 less effort its that good. Put inside my motorcycle clutch cable and clutch was drastically lighter. I would bath in it if the missus would clean the bath of donkeys milk ! cleo huh 06 July 2014

В +25 и пыль быстро выедается\сохнет. Катаю 10ск slх, вполне ок. правда с ушатаной цепью хватает в жару только на 60км, в пвд беру запаску. 06 July 2014

I won't recommend to lube a seat post.
In any case you want generate a good friction surface between the seat post and the frame, so you don't need to over torque your seat clamp.
This is specially important if you have a carbon frame or seat post. In this case I'll recommend a Fiber Grip assembly gel.

I wouldn't use a lubricant like this for a seat post.

For a seat post, what you are looking for is an anti-fretting material, that has plenty of grip - friction is important because it's what keeps the seat up! Lubrication can also lead to over tightening of the seat clamp bolt, and subsequent frame damage.

There are some particular pastes etc out there for seat posts. Most of mine are "dry" with no problems. If I get a creak, you can sometimes solve with a coating of talcum powder or similar, but the proper stuff can't be beat.

This lubricant is intended for keeping a chain running smoothly.

For seat post application; an anti-sieze or copper paste would be a better option. It can appear expensive at first but it lasts for a very long time.

If its a carbon seat post defo NO. Otherwise clean the post and frame aperture. then i use a finish line synthetic grease for alu. For carbon use a suitable carbon assembly compound. only. Carbon is affected permanently by other lubes
