Finish Line Cross Country Wet Lube

An "extreme" lube; super durable high viscosity synthetic oils, special polymers, anti-wear additives, friction modifiers, and more, all combine to make this Finish Line's strongest, longest lasting, most water resistant lubricant. WET Lube goes on wet and stays wet on the chain. Recommended for long-distance riding and extreme weather conditions. If you use WET Lube for riding off-road or in dry climates, be sure to wipe the excess from parts; this will help minimize the attraction of dirt and grime. Since 1994, when this lube was first introduced, it has become the preferred lubricant for many professional on and off-road teams world-wide. Use WET Lube when you ride hard and long. Proven performance for 100-plus mile rides, muddy off-road conditions, long rainy commutes, and foggy salt-air coastal climates. A heavier, wet-style lubricant that requires a little more attention to drivetrain cleanliness, but delivers the ultimate in lubricity and protection.

  • 100% Synthetic formula
  • Wet weather formulation
  • Temperature Resistant and long lasting

Rated 3 out of 5 by так себе самазка не понравилась, сильно собирает пылюку, хотя всегда вытираю излишки... цена конечно радует, но качество среднее, подойдет для тех кто сильно не парится ... 16 October 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Positivo Óleo excelente para usar em terrenos molhados, mantem lubrificado por bastante tempo. 05 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottimo lubrificante Lo uso da un anno ormai.
19 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dont be put off by the size! when buying this product i did think that it was quite expensive for such a small amount however considering how much you use each time and the fact that the bottle has a dripper tip it is actually great value for money! i have left the lid off and knocked over the bottle only to realise an hour or so later that its leaking ! and yet im still only on my first bottle! buy it its definitly worth the m oney!" 18 August 2014

Answer:
This lubricant is intended for keeping a chain running smoothly.

For seat post application; an anti-sieze or copper paste would be a better option. It can appear expensive at first but it lasts for a very long time.

Answer:
I won't recommend to lube a seat post.
In any case you want generate a good friction surface between the seat post and the frame, so you don't need to over torque your seat clamp.
This is specially important if you have a carbon frame or seat post. In this case I'll recommend a Fiber Grip assembly gel.

Answer:
I wouldn't use a lubricant like this for a seat post.

For a seat post, what you are looking for is an anti-fretting material, that has plenty of grip - friction is important because it's what keeps the seat up! Lubrication can also lead to over tightening of the seat clamp bolt, and subsequent frame damage.

There are some particular pastes etc out there for seat posts. Most of mine are "dry" with no problems. If I get a creak, you can sometimes solve with a coating of talcum powder or similar, but the proper stuff can't be beat.

Answer:
If its a carbon seat post defo NO. Otherwise clean the post and frame aperture. then i use a finish line synthetic grease for alu. For carbon use a suitable carbon assembly compound. only. Carbon is affected permanently by other lubes
