Five Ten FreeRider VXi Elements

We are not fair-weather riders. We ride every day--regardless of the weather. We ride to school, to work, to play, and since Five Ten is all about performance and technical advantage, we’ve upped the bar by adding a new winterized Freerider VXi. This all-mountain shoe has a DWR treated synthetic upper that beads and repels water like a duck . Inside is a PUR foam insulation that wicks sweat but adds that touch of warmth needed to fight freezing temps. The outsole package is STEALTH MI6, a revolutionary new STEALTH rubber with unprecedented shock absorption and grip.

Technologies: The ideal compound for hiking and mountain biking shoes because it absorbs far more shock than traditional rubber outsoles. The high friction rubber is also designed for durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Estas zapatillas son de una gran calidad Bonitos botines, además de los grandes componentes que han utilizado en ella para convertirse en una garantía de éxito para su propietario. 21 July 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great shoes with a catch Had a pair of these now for about 6-7 months. In general they are a great pair of shoes, nice and grippy on the pedal and underfoot walking. Kept my feet warm in the winter through all the rain and mud, they hate puddles mind. The water enters via the socks and then stays there keeping your feet wet (it warms up mind) The main parts of the shoe are still like new, the sole is coming to its end though. The the sole is soft and grips well but the flat pedal spikes have ripped it out to pieces. Where on the thinner sections it's gone right through to the shoe underplate. 28 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, comfortable shoes Not too grippy so you do not have to lift your shoes right off to reposition them. Not entirely waterproof but good enough for a muddy day underfoot. All in all, a good shoe to have and by the feel of them, they will take a good beating all year round 12 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the job! Ridden with these on 3 times now.... does the job as described albeit I haven't ridden in wet or muddy conditions yet. Look the bomb and seem to be very well made. Love the sticky soles... they seem to magically keep my foot attached to my flat pedals. These are my first pair of dedicated MTB shoes and would definitely buy Five Ten again!!! 05 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottime scarpe , senza bisogno di presentazioni...costose... utilissima la gamma con le mezze misure perchè calzano leggermente grandi. consiglio ALMENO mezzo numero in meno della propria solita misura 29 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sticky on the pedal, mostly weatherproof Usual 5:10 stickiness on the pedal in rain, mud, snow, dust….. Weatherproof until water gets in via your socks, but even my Gore-Tex boots do this!!! However, combined with Sealskinz socks, your feet will stay dry, and therefore warm and comfortable. For me, these are the best shoe/pedal/weatherproof combination I have tried, and work well enough for me that I am sticking with them. Also very comfortable, and easy to clean. 08 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 Great shoe, but not a proper wet weather shoe They look great, the rubber sole has phenomenal grip, even with the smooth section. They generally shrug off most splashes and rain, but if the weather is really bad then suffer a bit. If you're hitting lots of standing water it will splash over the top and get into the shoe, then it's weather proofing counts against it as the water won't get out... That said, for all but the absolute worst superb. Fit is just great and so comfortable to wear. 09 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Superb on pedal, poor off it This is my second pair of Five Tens, bought for the "Elements" feature in the hope that these would be a better shoe for the Scottish winter. First off all the shows "on pedal" are very good but this causes issues when you are off it (hike a bike time). The sole of the shoe is close to being completely smooth, only a very small section has the usual grip. This gives the shoe an incredibly sticky contact area for the flat pedal but at the cost that if you are caught in the likes of snow or mud then you end up being Bambi on an ice rink. For trail centres then I can't fault it, sticky without stopping you from moving your foot on the pedal when needed. Just be careful if you need to hike a bike thru mud or snow. 16 January 2014

what colours do they come in?

it says pewter and dawn blue... which i think are the grey ones (but can't see any blue in them). Or do you have the blue, black and yellow ones that are also shown in the pictures?
