Five Ten Impact 2 Hi MTB Shoes

Perhaps the most talked-about shoe in bike history, the Impact is burly enough for the most hardcore riders, yet comfortable enough to wear around your local bike shop. Breathability is enhanced through the lateral mesh panel while the Slingshot construction at the heel locks the foot down for a secure and comfortable fit from heel to toe.

Stealth outsoles, ideal for mountain biking shoes because it absorbs far more shock than traditional rubber outsoles. The high friction rubber is also designed for durability

Rated 4 out of 5 by See My Review Of FiveTen Impact 'Sam Hill - Monster' These V's the Sam Hill Monster edition .... See above review for detail but the SH version wins by some margin! 18 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by All the bearings of a clip on, without the clips! I can't get enough of this amazing shoe! I'm onto my second pair with a third pair as my backup...enough said! With the trademark Stealth rubber sole, I can make my jumps and never have to worry bout my feet going anywhere else then where I want em to be! If you're looking for that sticky feeling without the clips, these are it! 25 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good stuff Fantastic shoe/boot! They are big but once you tighten the laces they compact down a bit. There are no signs of wear as of yet. They are very grippy almost to the point where you can't adjust your feet! But I guess that's the point. They seem to block out the water quite well. I live in Ireland where its always wet and so far my feet have always been dry! And as always the great service from CRC! 10 February 2014

Sizing?

I'm an 8.5 (42.5) depending on shoe type I'm either an 8 or a 9
Can you tell me does this shoe follow the sand lines? Should I go for a 9?
Thanks.

Answer:
Spoke with a colleague who has worn five tens before and he said that they are a bit on the big side and to buy a size smaller.

Guess only you will really know once you try them on.

Answer:
If you normally take 81/2 (42.5) ... I'd consider getting a 9 (43) as I personally found these to be a tighter fit!
