Fizik Gobi XM K:Ium MTB Saddle

The Gobi is 1 of fi’zi:k’s 3 Spine Concept™ MTB Saddle shapes. Of these 3, the Gobi shape is quite wide and slightly waved in cross-sectional profile.

The simple silicon ring fits around your seat post to add an extra touch of colour to your bike. It also helps reduce water and dirt ingress into the seat tube, as well as marking insertion depth on your seat post so that you remember your saddle height.

Gobi XM is for The Chameleon: Medium Spine.

  • If you have an intermediate degree of spinal flexibility (approximately 90 degrees between your straight legs and your back when bending over as far as you can, keeping your legs straight a shoulders’ width apart), you are a chameleon. Your degree of spinal flexibility helps you so far, before you need to rotate your pelvis slightly to achieve fully the performance position.
  • You will benefit from the increased width and slight curvature of the Gobi shape.

Specifications:

  • Shell: Nylon Carbon Reinforced with Wing Flex™ for freedom of thigh movement and Tail Flex™ for ease of transition on and off your bike
  • Rail: K:ium
  • Integrated Clip System: Yes
  • Length: 285mm
  • Width: 126mm

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome comfy seat Just been riding with it since Christmas and it is awesome comfy. Looks the part as well and easy to slide on or off for the downhill. I'm 6ft weight 80kg and have a small but for those that to know what suits them. 06 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome saddle that just gets on with it and does the job Been riding Gobi saddles since the age of the dinosaurs, on 6 different bikes. They just seem to be the perfect weapon for any occasion both up and seriously down. Had one bent rail and though the local agent would not replace it, I emailed Fizik and some very nice Italian lady sent me a replacement, (ciao bella, grazie) in the mail free of charge, no questions asked. So though the dinosaurs are now extinct, mountain bikes and the Gobi just keep on evolving.Great customer service = great customer loyalty. 18 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfectly formed Great for getting ur bum off the saddle if ur seat post is up without catching! Great saddle, little sore after a few hours tho 15 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfy, quality Had a couple of Selle's before this but after borrowing a Whyte for a couple of weeks this saddle won me over. when I did my new build this is what I choose- its done some miles and had plenty of impact in all weathers conditions. I think its really comfy- like all new seats you have to break them in so just stick with it. 23 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality and comfort at a price. Bought this around early 2010 and have been using it since. Its a really good quality piece of kit, light weight and comfortable to boot. The ICS (Integrated Clip System) on the rear is very handy as I can use the Fizik clip on rear light on it without taking up space on my seat post. This saddle is a tad pricy though, but you get what you pay for; which is a high quality saddle. 25 August 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Squeakey! Bought two Fizik saddles...comfy yes....ater a while i got noises....& after tightening & shearing two hope saddle clamp bolts i found it was the saddle squeaking at the nose end & had this on both bikes....grease solved the problem for a few days & then the horrendous noise came back again....have just squirted silicone under the nose rails & it's fingers crossed....no more Fiziks for me. 05 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great performance yes it's not the most comfortable seat, but there is a reason for that. i've done about 800km on this saddle now and it is amazing. it takes a while to get used comfort wise but once you're on it you can move about freely and you can feel the flex under your thighs - promoting a natural pedalling action. after a while it just feels right and is oddly comfortable. sounds weird but you just slide onto it so easy. build quality and finish is second to none. i recommend this seat to everyone. 24 February 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Comfortable saddle until it breaks 1 year of comfortable trouble free riding however it's in the bin now as one rail has snapped. Great saddler design but wrong material choice for the rails. 05 January 2012
