Rated 4 out of 5 by They stopped my bike I fitted them to my brakes and they stopped my bike. THUMBS UP 11 October 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stopping power with life of the pad. Easy to install, good stopping compound and durable. 03 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Boa compra, mas faz muito barulho na frenagem. Bom produto, boa durabilidade, mas produz muito ruído na frenagem. O preço é razoável, pode ser mais barato. 26 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Expensive but the best for RX brakes. I have tried some of the cheaper ones and they were noisy/ grabby, wore out quickly, but these are a different kettle of fish, they may be expensive but the best for RX brakes I have found, Easy to fit ( not as wide as some) last set lasted 6 months. 10 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Last forever (almost) I have the sintered pads which came on my new bike. I can't believe I'm still using the original pads exactly 2 years later. They are on my XC hardtail which I have used in all conditions, summer & winter, 3 rides a week, on gritty, sandy Suffolk soil. They haven't worn down yet, but I'm on here looking for replacements for when they do. The feel & bite are great too. Wouldn't bother with cheaper alternatives- I'll be getting more Formula ones if they last this long. 19 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't go wrong with these, only down side is the price High quality replacement pads, easy to fit and bedding in period was minimal. I have used cheaper alternatives, which although can be good do not out perform these. I've noticed when comparing these side by side with the cheaper brand pads that there is more sintered material and a bigger braking area. 28 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good pads Not sure why people have complained about these pads, I have used them many times and they last and work well. 09 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by original and for power... not cheap, and you gotta buy 2 for thw whole bike. formula stuff always exclusive, hard to find ,and expensive when compared to top counterparts.... 15 June 2012

Answer:
This pad is suitable for the Formula RX.

It is not a generic pad for all Formula brakes, just the select number listed in the title.

Answer:
I have these pads on my RX brakes, I use the sintered as they last longer. The organics wear very quickly in the wet.

Answer:
There are two standard types of brake pad; Semi-metallic (also known as Organic, or in some cases ceramic), and Metallic (also known as Sintered), and the new Metallic-Organic compound.

Semi-metallic (Organic) pads are a more standard, all weather braking material with medium durability and low heat generation. The organic compound provides stronger braking power that is suited to dry riding conditions and ensures quieter braking when compared to metallic/ sintered pads.

Metallic (Sintered) pads are high durability, high friction pads for use under extreme conditions (mud, snow etc) which offer longer life but a higher level of heat production. The Metal Sintered compound provides consistent braking in wet weather with more braking bite on those rainy days. The metal sintered pads last longer than organic pads, dissipate heat quicker and are suited to wet riding conditions.

Answer:
Sintered Pads
Sintered pads are made up of hardened metallic ingredients, which are bound together with pressure and temperature.

Pros
-fade at a higher temperature than organic pads
-better performance in wet conditions
-last longer

Cons
-louder
-longer break-in time
-not as much initial bite
-heat is conducted through the caliper, not the rotor

Organic Pads
Organic pads are made up of fibers and organic material that are bonded together with resin.

Pros
-Quieter
-Shorter break-in period
-More initial bite
-Prevent heat buildup
-Pushes heat back into the rotor

Cons
-Wear quicker
-Not as good in wet/muddy conditions

Answer:
To get the optimized braking performance for your brake and rotor set up you should be using the corresponding pads designed for the Brake Caliper model in a compound design to suit what the rotor will accept.

Those brake pads will work with Formula THE ONE, R1, RX and Mega disc brake calipers. Formula brakes and pads are designed to provide you with the best braking performance when using these in conjunction with Formula Rotors.
