Answer:
These forks run the OverDrive 2 standard which is a Giant specific size (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb...). The steerer on your RockHopper is more likely to be a standard 1.1/8" so these won't be suitable as a replacement. If you contact your local Specialized dealer they will be able to confirm the headset/headtube standard on your bike.

Answer:
This fork is the OD2 version (Over Drive 2) which is a Giant specific technology, using a tapered steerer from 1.1/2" to 1.1/4". We do not stock any headsets to fit this fork to a standard headset; you will need a Giant specific headset (as well as a 1.1/4" compatible stem).

Answer:
These forks feature an Overdrive 2 (1.1/4-1.5) steerer tube. To fit these to your Trance you will require and Overdrive 2 specific headset that will be available from your local Giant dealer.

Answer:
Yes, the steerer on this frame is tapered which is compatible with your frame.

The dropouts are for use with a 9mm quick release wheel so take this into account when committing to purchase.
