Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Notch Product Bought this to replace my 2010 DHX5 Air as I blew the rebound assembly. This was on sale at 65% off so was cheaper than getting the DHX serviced so just went ahead and got it. First off is a whole lot lighter than the DHX and makes the bike look sleeker. Althought Im not sure on heat dissipation yet without the piggy back. Been out on a fair few rides now, with 155 psi and propedal on 3 as I usually do long climbs and appreciate the LSC on as much as possible. Swtiching from the ProPedal on to off makes a huge difference in sag and how the shock reacts to pedal forces. Should note that my Santa Cruz Nomad with the VPP is slightly better than other platforms, but the RP23 is leaps and bounds better than the DHX5 on the climbs (the DHX5 did have a similar flip switch but its propedal was much softer). On the descends with the propedal fully open the RP23 out performs the DHX5 aswell. Much more sensitive to bumps, stiction was non existent and still is and with 200 in the internal boost valve im not blowing through the travel either. On the first descent I noticed a huge difference in rear wheel tracking. Though this could be attributed to the aged of my DHX5 but I did service and grease it regularly. Overall the new RP23's are a better investment than slightly older DHX Airs in my opinion. If this is on sale here or a second hand one online thats relatively new, then it'll be a sound investment! 18 August 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Epic Shock This shock is worth the money, it changed my bike from a spongy but bucking bronco to a smooth and sophisticated ride. An excellent upgrade for anyone on a lower end Fox Shock. 30 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Buen producto Relación calidad precio excelente. Un buen amortiguador. 22 May 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb purchase It's great to have a shock that can go and go with out the constant maintenance required from a DT shock. Very happy with my purchase and what a great bargain from CRC 11 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing performance I have fitted one of these to my 1999 Santa Cruz Heckler and it has made it the an amazing frame to ride on, even though it is an old design (the frame that is). 26 June 2013

Hello,

Would you please tell me wether this shock can be mounted on my Giant Reign 0 of 2013 as my former suspension ingeenered in 2013 seems to have a pressure issue (over 250psi for a man of 165lbs). Otherwise what shall I choose as a replacing suspension ?

Thanks a lot!

Answer:
Unfortunately this shock is too long eye-to-eye which would drastically effect your frame geometry in terms of riding feel.

At present we do not have a shock which meets the length and stroke required to compliment your bike design.

Answer:
Noooo!!!!!

Answer:

Size of eyelets?

Hello,

Was wondering the size of the 2 eyelets?

I want to fit this suspension on a Cube AMS 150 Pro frame which recommends bushing size 22 x 8 mm / 40 x 8 mm --> Will this suspension properly fit?
We can see on the picture a kind of drilled pin already installed in the upper eyelet...

Thank you for your help!

Answer:
You will need to purchase new shock hardware and DU Bushings for that Fox Suspension Float RP23 Rear Shock to suit the shock and your frames hardware width requirements.

The RockShox Rear Shock Mount Hardware 1-2"X 1-2" are compatible (you need the references sku197370 and sku197345) but we do not have the DU Bush that you need.
