Rated 2 out of 5 by Not that good! I had this BB fitted to my bike, and it lasted 3 months of fairly easy trail riding. I then fitted the same BB to the bike and it has lasted 8 months. For the price the product is poor. There are much better products on the market that are of better quality and cost less. My advice when buying BB's are either buy SHIMANO, or Hope. 03 June 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by this bb ran ok but failed as soon as it got wet 29 July 2008
Rated 4 out of 5 by good value This product has been fitted to my current bike, and has only just failed after two and half years of enduro riding in all conditons including the Clic 24 in the wet. It's true it's not the smoothest bearing ever but as long as you purge out any moisture with a little GT85 after a really wet ride, all runs well. 25 June 2008
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great strong product that fits a huge range of cranksets although the bearings never run very smoothly in mine, dispite frequent greasing, however this turned out for the best as i required cranks that would not spin when doing tricks 22 December 2007

I need to replace the BB-4000 bottom bracket on one of my bikes, which has a current spindle diameter of 19mm and would like to put a slightly better BB on as a replacement and did wonder if the BB-7000 would be compatible....?

The BB-7000 bracket runs a 24mm spindle; you need the earlier BB-1000 to BB-4000 series brackets for a 19mm spindle.
