BB68 Adapter to BB30

Hi.

I'm currently running a ROTOR SRM crankset (Standard BB68) and need to convert to a BB30.

Have you got the adapter?

Cheers,
Matt

Answer:
We are not a Rotor dealer so we don't stock a Rotor 68mm BSA to BB30 adapter. Your cranks will have a standard 24mm spinlde however so you could use the FSA BB30 adaptor which reduces your BB shell down to BSA. This means that you can run an external bottom bracket like one of the Shimano Hollowtech II variants or Rotor equivalent.

Yes; this shell is designed to be pressed into a BB30 shell in order to allow standard BSA threaded cups to be screwed in.

I Have seen a video where it is glued in using Loctite 603. I would like to keep the option open of being able to remove the adaptor in the future if so desired. IS this possible?

Cheers

Answer:
The gluing agent used is No. 609; similar to Loctite.

Repeated removal and installation may result in frame damage.

For Carbon frames; once the adapter has been installed it cannot be removed.
