Rated 3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by These bearings also fit I left the bike outside over winter (silly me), the cane creek headset bearings have rusted, so i swap them out. Cane creek have no bearings (caged) for sale on CRC. These FSA bearings are the same and do the job. My cane creek has 20 balls, and this top brace bearing has 22. This fits 1.1/8 headsets btw. Hope this helps any novice's out there such as myself... PS, I gave 3 stars, as these caged bearings are not as weather proof as sealed cartridge bearings. I'll be upgrading my headset for this reason. 23 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Expensive Considering you can buy the entire headset for about £15, both races for £10 is not really a bargain. It is more economical to buy the bearings loose and 'snap' them into the existing cages. If the headset isn't too worn, the cages should still be perfect as the bearings prevent them being 'ground down' :) 15 January 2012

I have a xc-30 fork from CRC (straight) and I was under the impression the bearings were the same upper and lower. Can anyone clear this up?

Answer:
The bearings are in relation to the headset and not necessarily the fork. This headset (FSA PIG) has a much larger lower bearing race and larger bearings to match.

The headset which uses these bearings can be found as listed below.
