No Issues getting the device to seat in the carbon steerer tube of my SID WC XX Shocks. Looks Good. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I actually like it better than the included compressor from Rock Shox.

I ordered this to use with a set of RockShox SID with a carbon steerer, I was a little dubious, as other reviews had talked about it slipping in the tube. For me it was as easy as pie to fit, simply slide it in, screw down with a 5mm hex key until it bit and then use 6mm hex key to pre load, works really well

Bought this for a carbon steerer. No good. Did not bite enough to tighten the top cap properly so I didn't even got out on the bike with this. Ended up using the deda bung which is longer and tightens in separately from the top cap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Easy to use
Can't see how this could fail to work, 5mm key expands bung (plenty rough enough to grip), 6mm key tightens top cap to preload bearing. Loses a star as there is no plug to prevent water collecting in the top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Rubbish piece of kit
This expanding bolt is very poor. The faces of the wedges are scored with emery paper but not sufficiently to grip the inner face of the carbon forks ( Principia by Mizuno)therefore meaning that I couldn't tighten up the stem onto the spacers.
I had to replace it with one from Condor which had proper knurled faces to the wedge sections
