Smooth and virtually maintenance free with replaceable cartridges, this new version features improved cartridges, better seals, and an all new exterior design that keeps more dirt, water, and mud out than ever before.

Replacement for customers caged bearing, and frankly neglected headset. Suggested this as an all weather upgrade with little need of maintenance. Sealed cartridge bearings are buttery smooth. Cups are slightly oversized giving the bike a more robust look, looks good when fork crown is chunky too. All round great headset as 1 1/8" direct replacement

Simply the most priceworthy headset around. I've had three of these, on three different bikes. The oldest being more than 10 years now. The second I had on a Spesh Enduro which I rode very hard for five years until I sold it. All still going strong. Just put some good grease in the bearings and they'll last forever.

Have so far used this for more than 3 years now - fuss free and rock solid. Fitted this on an EPX Terrashark..haven't serviced it yet (I know I should) but it's still working like a dream :-)

I've been running this headset on my commuter for the past 5months and no problems. The weather up here can be harsh at times but this continues to run smooth. Would recommend.

Had one on these on my 2005 Orange P7 since I got the frame. Greased it once for no other reason than I thought I should! Why choose CK?

Been running this for two years on my Pitch, as everyone here says it's great quality for the money - my only criticism is that the lower bearings aren't quite as well sealed as I'd like, I've had to regrease twice now but to be fair the last time was a year ago! Still highly recommended. "Cheap, light, strong - pick two" doesn't apply here, this headset is all three.

This is a bugger to fit if you get the seals wrong, makes it slack alice and the newer fsa's have no split crown race.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous C'est rigide, solide et beau avec une fox float r 160, il y a plus cher, mais je ne sais pas si c'est mieux. En tout cas moi j'en suis très satisfait.

No, these FSA headsets use a solid crown race, as do most other aftermarket sets. There are split crown races available from some brands, and these may be compatible with various other sets, but it would be a trial and error approach.
