Rated 5 out of 5 by very good - long lasting I bought this 18 months and over 6000 miles ago (in all weathers with minimum maintenance), I've completely worn it out and it has delivered excellent performance throughout - it hasn't lasted quite as well as shimano rings in the past but beats it on £/mile easily. I've run the 48 tooth which I find more suited to commuting and touring than the more standard 50t 08 June 2012

I have an FSA Vero chainset with 53/39t rings. I would like to change the 39t ring for the smallest possible for this chainset whilst leaving the 53t in situ. Would the 34t Stamped Road chainring fit?

Answer:
As your chainset is a 130mm BCD as standard unfortunately the smallest chainring which we stock is a 39t.

This FSA ring is a 110mm BCD so will not be compatible.

Answer:
As long as the BCD matches (110mm) then yes you should be fine to use the 38t ring as a replacement on a SRAM Red Compact chainset, although the ring will have been designed primarily as a replacement for FSA chainsets so the shifting may not be as smooth as with a SRAM chainring.

Would this be suitable for a single speed?

It's the correct BCD (110) and would fit but I just wondered if it would be strong enough. THe ratio would be 48/16.

Answer:
Should be fine to run on a singlespeed setup, yes. Use a half-link chain for extra strength.
